Music’s biggest night featured a bunch of stars including multiple winner Adele, host LL Cool J, honoree Diana Ross, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Chris Brown and Bruno Mars. It also featured a bunch of dope performances and not so dope performances (*cough* NICKI MINAJ)..
LL Cool J served as the perfect host, starting the show off with a prayer for the late great Whitney Houston. Singer Jennifer Hudson also paid tribute with a performance (VIEW HERE). Singers Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt paid tribute to Etta James and there was a short acknowledgment of Don Cornelius by Quest Love. On a more positive note, the legendary Diana Ross received her first Grammy, getting the ‘Lifetime Achievement’ Grammy.
British singer Adele took home top honors during the night including, Album of the Year and Song of the Year. She matched Beyonce’s 2009 record of 6 Grammy wins in one night. I think it’s safe to say that rapper Nicki Minaj made a fool of herself during her big Grammy performance on Sunday night (February 12) in Los Angeles. Many people tweeted confusing sentiments and asked what exactly was going on. Check out what a few CL followers had to say about the performance..
Telling by tweets and blog comments, a lot of people are starting to get sick of her Halloween antics, not to mention, her alter ego “Roman Zolanski”, which is a play off of disgraced director Roman Polanski. NOTE: He was charged with child molestation (among other things), so why would you name yourself after someone like that? Her fan base consists of young girls and she even admits that she was surprised at how young they were and yet you present these types of images to the masses? Epic Fail.
Anyway, what is your take on her performance? Is the Nicki hype finally over? Watch the video below and let us know in the comment area.

Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson payed tribute to the late great Whitney Houston during the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. She sang one of Whitney’s most memorable songs, “I Will Always Love You” while fighting back tears. Check it out below.
In related news, singer Chaka Khan was expected to take the stage alongside Jennifer Hudson but opted not to perform because it was too early. Tweeting, “As I grieve the loss of my friend and “little sister,” I don’t feel it appropriate to perform at this time. Continue to pray for the family.”
