We first introduced you to Malaysian songstress Yuna about a year ago in our Artist To Watch segment. In the time since, she has gained quite a bit of buzz for her unique voice and effortless style.
In May, she released her ‘Sixth Street’ EP, the first single off that effort being “I Wanna Go”. She has followed up with the music video for the single, featuring an innocent love story between she and her leading man. The visual is a perfect match for the summer months, featuring a laid-back sunny locale, full of lush greenery and flora.
Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam, the artist we all know as M.I.A, is back with a hot new banger for summer. The Roc Nation managed singer/rapper debuted “Bring the Noize” today, a bass-heavy, tribal drum infused track that is certain to get the party jumping!
The song is the first single off her fourth studio album, Matangi, to be released in fall of this year off the NEET/Interscope imprint. Press play to take a listen.
Rihanna shimmered during a night out in London last night (June 16).
The Bajan beauty stepped out in some light-blue jeans and shimmery Stella McCartney cropped top at Boujis nightclub to support her brother, Rorrey Fenty — the DJ for the night.
Brooklyn-based rapstress Nitty Scott MC unveiled her newest video for her single “Flower Child,” featuring Kendrick Lamar, over the weekend on MTV Jams.
The video, which is directed by Anthony Sylvester, is distinctive in that it was entirely funded through the support of fans and contributors to Nitty’s Kickstarter campaign.
Albiet Kendrick Lamar does not appear in the video, he contributes a verse and sings the chorus to the sensual cut.
