Kanye West & Jamie Foxx killed their performance. It was the best of the night. HBCU bands just do it better. Between the step teams and dope band, it was just good. I was actually putting my hands up like I was at a concert. Kanye knows how to please the crowd (when he isn’t getting on our last nerve, that is).
WORST PERFORMANCE PART I.
Mariah Carey. She can’t sing live, PLAIN & SIMPLE! The whole song was off key, and I had to change the channel because something was telling me to throw my bowl at the T.V. Mariah just stay in the studio, you gets no love from me when you perform live.
BEST ‘I CAN ACTUALLY SING LIVE’ PERFORMANCE.
John Legend. Even though ‘Ordinary People’ was played the hell out in 2005, I still love the song. John Legend has a beautiful voice, and he vibed through out the whole performance. I caught myself clapping at the end.
WORST PERFORMANCE PART II.
Mary J. Blige. She just wasn’t on key, and it was just a random mash up with her & U2. They could have keep that where ever it was.
BEST OVERALL CHARISMA.
Stevie Wonder & Alicia Keys. Even though it was very obvious that they were killing time so that the first performance could set up. They had good charisma together. And when they busted out an acappella “Higher Ground” you had to love it.

Ciara. I give Ciara a big TWO THUMBS DOWN for that shitty-ass performance. This girl was trying to hum into the mic. She is normally use to back-up tracks and lip-syncing, so this was a new experience for her. And lets just say, she failed miserably. I still can’t believe she won a grammy too. *shakes my head* If it’s that easy to get one, Imma release a couple of tracks.
