Dark-skinned sistas: I always hated that dark skin/light skin thing, but I was thinking the other day that it sorta does us a favor by filtering out the weak-minded brothers out there. However, since the current option is to choose between the two, I find the usage of “black” to be more acceptable. Social, political, and economic issues go beyond color. Black is not only a color in today’s day and age.The current definition of the term “black” describes more than the color of one’s skin. I thought that was beyond obvious.
