Can you name stories that Wendy has scooped that were 100% baseless. I can think of some that have been proved quite accurate. But I’m interested in people who have formed opinions based off of objectively listening and not just a finger up to public sentiment.

Wendy has huge endorsement deals. The simialarities that I speak of address the possibilities. This blog has been quoted on Black voices…thats pretty huge and Wendy (though sometimes hypocritically) critiques style…she is also the first to point out things which are “negrodian”…and advice hour in my opinion has a huge common sense theme and alot of her advice is really smart and witty. Editorially I see similiarties but that is my opinion. I can seperate the provocative stuff from where in lies the substance to situation.

I love Wendy and listen almost everyday. However I’ve never thought that she was my news source, but rather a rumor source. I listen and wait for the retraction or correction. And, most of the time she’ll admit when she’s wrong or at least spend some air time reading something that contradicts her original statements.

I agree with anyone who believes that any relationship that can be broken up by random statements by a radio gossip columnist was already doomed. But, Ms. Jones, like everyone else Wendy has talked about, has had every opportunity to go on the radio and talk to Wendy in person. I do agree with all posters that Nate is a pretty wack brother if he believed everything that others said instead of his own fiancee. However, people do spread lies and rumours that impact people’s lives. I don’t care for Wendy at all and sadly she was a talented radio DJ who didn’t need to resort to all of that to become successful. I think that ultimately those who spread hate whether they are urban radio DJ’s or shock jocks will find that karma will not escape them. Let’s be real, whether it’s Wendy on the radio or friends of family gossip that is truly malicious can ruin reputations and cause a great deal of pain. Yes, you should have a thick skin to be in entertainment, its a requirement. But those that choose to dish it out have to take it as well. I’m getting the feeling that a lot of people posting their opinions on Wendy haven’t listened all that much to her show. Wendy does a lot more than gossip. She interviews artists (she had on some rap artist today), does advice hour, comments on tv shows she’s watching and talks general shit about her life and the people who work on her show. And yes, she does gossip, but it’s not the biggest part of her show at all. I totally agree. Wendy never said she was a looker (and she even admits that beauty is not her thing) so all the ugly comments are soooooooooooooo over done and passe. From a woman’s perspective I think she has her cute days and her not so cute days…insert “good hair days”] where cute is.

I love everything about this woman and living in Philly for 4 years driving back and forth sometimes between NYC and DC (I would lose her 10 miles over the Susquehanna (sp)…I owe some of my success to her.
