Well all hell broke lose over this movie at BP. It was in one of the weekly forums and some of the comments made by Black men regarding Black woman literally had me in tears.
Black woman were bitches, no good money hungry whores, loud mouths more the 2 kids having uneducated project hood rats.
The men said we as Black woman should be offended by this movie and should protest it, although these were the same guys that had just called us all out of our name.
If you were to go to some of their pages it said clear as day they didn’t date Black woman, yet we should support them.
Then there were a couple of guys that said no matter what a Black man does we as Black woman should stuck behind them.
I hope you all have the jest of the forum, it’s way to much to try and type.
The moral of the story is and was that no matter what we do as Black women we will never be good enough for some Black men.

Oh my goodness I wasn’t going to comment on this post but I just have to say that post#68 was right on it. Me and my Mother were talking about how insecure some beautiful women could be and the first name that popped into my head was Halle. I then said that she should just start dating white guys but then I realized that she needs to fix her own issues before finding love in anyone.

Halle is bi-racial (white/black) and just because we relate her skin tone as being black does not mean we “own” her. She is free to date on either side of the fence she was raised on. I doubt she has given up on “brothers” but moreso exploring her options. Just because she is a black woman does not mean she is restricted to just black men. Black men do not always hold this unwritten rule close to heart. Date who you like Halle. Whoever makes you happy stick with them. I am not against interracial dating (although I have not ventured there) as long as your reason behind it is not because you solely CHOSE to EXCLUDE your own race which is the case with many black man/white woman relationships that I know of.
