1. African-American hair:

Our hair grows about .5-1 inch per month=6+ inches/month. Our hair grows at a slower pace than caucasian and hispanic hair; but our hair’s texture is more coarse and often thick. Even though some of us prefer to have weaves many of us do have natural hair. But many of those non- african american celebrities quoted abouve: the Hayek, the Jolies, the J’lo’s, the Simpson’s etc: do wear extensions and hair pieces on a regular basis as well. For some women this is there own personal beauty preference.

2. “Blacks have the worst of all worlds, blacks do not have the “intellect” as a whole (though there are some smart black people out there)”

Let’s peep the US for instance. Today as of 2006 if you look realistically at the power system here, it’s easy to see hispanic people are at the bottom unfortunately. Take for instance the rally that occured across the nation in response to the federal govt. iniative to crack down on illegal immigration. Hispanics flock to the US to take part in the American dream, and to give their children an opportunity to have a better life. Unfortunately many Hispanics can only take the jobs that other groups don’t want: for instance: maintanence crews, cashiers, painters, carpenters, etc. No1 said there is anything wrong with the way you earn your living, but many Hispanics have “less respectable” jobs so to speak. Some African Americans do, but the rate is smaller, and in essence when masses of 1 group work in these sectors it’s magnified in the system.

3. “WHere is this intellect in the large percent of blacks that make up the lowest classes in AMerica??”

Definitely didn’t follow because all racial groups make up the lowest classes: whites, blacks, hispanics, etc. They reside in poor neighborhoods which ppl refer to as ghettos, trailer parks, etc…so that comment isn’t true. In addition, when you say where is the intellect: well not everyone has access to great schools, or can afford to pay 100g+ to go to a 1st rate university. Those fingers should be directed to the government and the state. If people are lacking an education, there are too many political, social and economic factors that are it’s cause.

4. People Magazine is a reflection of a biased culture, dictated primarily by the ideas of Caucasians. They are the ones who have crafted this notion of what’s beautiful, what’s accepted. If you picked up a Latina or a black Magazine, would there be a huge majority of Caucasian women in a top 20 list, NO.

NOte: the most beautiful woman in the world is neither Hispanic, white, or even black. She’s Indian: Her name is Aishwarya Rai and she’s a model and actress in the Bollywood film industry. They have the top film revenues because their movies are shown internationally and not limited to one region.

Lastly beautiful and intelligent women are the most sought after woman in the world. Let’s see: Mariah Carey (international Superstar), Tyra Banks, international jetsetter and model tho she’s more prominent here. Alec Wek-abroad, Halle Berry, Beyonce, etc, etc

You mentioned J’LO, when was the last time she went to Europe–she used to be quite famous, but her throne is declining. Adriana Lima is more of a household name abroad. Salma isn’t a top box office movie actress, Thalia (who), and if u think Vida is popular well then u might add all the models that grace SMOOTH, KING, etc. the vast majority of them are black women.

My main point is both Hispanic and Blacks have huge milestones ahead. Hispanics are suffering a lot more than we are because those who have recently immigrated here aren’t being treated equally and since for many English isn’t there 1st language they can’t demand their rights. At my first duty assignment. my first roommate was Puerto Rican and we got along great. When I went to base in Texas and the sister unit we were training were Mexicans, we got along great. Jones, Cincinatti, Ohio), awaiting a HEART TRANSPLANT, giving blood to a BLOOD BANK (DR. All races have their good aspects and their bad ones… We could go back and forth debating on who is better and why, but in reality what differnce are we making… we would just be making each other angry and really promoting more racism.
