
June Pointer, the youngest of the Pointer Sisters — known for the ’70s and ’80s hits “I’m So Excited,” “Fire” and “Slow Hand” — has died of cancer, her family said today. She was 52.
Pointer died Tuesday at Santa Monica University of California, Los Angeles, Medical Center, the family said in a statement. She had been hospitalized since late February. The type of cancer wasn’t disclosed. (read more)..

Wow. I know it’s been a year- but I was very close to June, and her death affected me a lot. Actually, her LIFE affected me a lot, her Death was a tremendous loss.
As for all the posts on this blog – i guess that’s why she died in a way.
She wanted so much for people to be happy.
She wanted to help change the World….and she did-
Drugs were a way to escape the pain of every day reality- like the Posts on this blog.
