There are those times where artists just “FUCK UP” and totally forget the words to the song… It happend to Patti Labelle in Ft.Lauderdale a while ago, she attributed it to cold weather and diabetes tho so all was forgiven..

And Beyonce admits to forgetting the words to songs she has written lol, but she is great at covering it up and making it seem like she purposely did it…

This is just sad. Most singers usually come up singing the Star Spangled Banner everywhere (at various unknown events)! And when they finally get asked to perform it somewhere big, (like for a Michael Jordan event), it is considered an honor just to be invited to perform, because of the chance for exposure.

It doesn’t matter if he believed in the song’s message; he agreed to perform, and it was unprofessional of him to step out like that. He should have known the words, and if he didn’t, she should have memorized them the night before…

The funniest part, though, was when the male news anchor said, “Whenever you do anything in NY, you’ve gotta *come correct*…” LOL!!!

BTW, lots of performers forget the words to songs they have written— I remember seeing some performance with Madonna a couple of years ago, and the audience requested one of her songs from the 80s, and she openly admitted that she couldn’t remember the lyrics. You can imagine, with an artist like Madonna, Prince, Michael Jackson, and many others who have huge catalogues of hundreds of songs, spanning over decades of time, well, you can see how it could be possible to forget a few lyrics here and there!
