I think the reason the “abuse is insane” is because black men are so much more willing (for some reason) to date or marry outside of their race. Then some of them have the nerve to talk negative of black women and/or turn their noses up. That’s the one thing that irritates me about the whole situation. But I found it interesting that you mentioned why you think so many black men go after non-black women because I don’t think you are totally off base. I actually have some opinions that would more than likely piss a lot of black women off but that is not the subject here. But I will say this particular thing and no more on it…….Jill Scott is a PERFECT example of what I think young black women should look to for role models. I also like to see many black women look at the black American women of the 1970’s. Watch a few old black TV shows from the 70’s and check out the women and how they looked and how they carried themselves and the sense of strength and pride they had in their blackness, all the while keeping their femininity in tact. If the playing field was level in terms of there were just as many white/hispanic/asian famous men that had black wives or consistently dated black women, I wouldn’t even be posting here. If I could count the number of black NFL players with non-black wives and count the number of white NFL players WITH black wives and the numbers were similar, I wouldn’t have anything to say. If I saw black women in white music videos as often as I do non-black women in black videos, you guys wouldn’t even know who I am. But the reality of it is it is not that way and I it makes me wonder why, and what message that is sending.

Across most of the world now, people have bought into the idea the the white women is the epitome of what is beautiful and the closer a women looks like that, the more attractive she is considered, particularly in the western world. But the sad thing in particular is the amount of black men that seem to have bought into the same idea, and the reflection of that is no clearer than in black Hollywood.
