So I’ve been touching on mostly R&B, but I thought I’d expose some of Fefe Dobson’s latest material from her forthcoming sophomore album, “Sunday Love.” I’m sure some of you may have remembered her from her first single, “Take Me Away,” from her debut album, but Fefe’s grown up vocally and lyrically. “Sunday Love,” an album title Fefe tributes to her mother, is influenced by 1980′s pop/rock and 1990′s punch. Fefe, co-writing the entire album, got to work with some of rock’s greats a la Courtney Love, Nina Gordon, Matthew Wilder, and ex-Marilyn Manson guitarist John5, as well as Cyndi Lauper and Joan Jett. Even if you’re not a rock fan, Fefe’s lyrics and the passion in her voice have converted non-believers into Fefe fanatics. “Sunday Love” is due out June 20th, and a video for “This Is My Life,” which is the official single, is apparently in the making since the single’s addition to airplay’s greatest gainers.

I just wanna comment on FeFe Dobson’s mother, first of all give the girl a break she comes from one crazy ass disfunctional home!! I was neighbours of her mothers for 2 years and let me tell you she is crazy. The mother was not “kicked out” of her housing complex for having a bi-racial daughter she was kicked out for not paying her rent for several months. The woman lost her two other sons and both FeFe and the other sister left because mom was nuts!! The mom had 3 bolt locks on FeFe door when she did live at home. The woman claimed that all four of her children were the children of rape!! FeFe doesnt even know her black father all she knows is that he was black because she can look in the mirror and see that!! FeFe grew up not having a phone or cable and most times no lights or heat not because mom was poor because mom thought those things were evil!! The children’s aid society eventually took the younger boys because they were not being cared for properly!! I dont think FeFe is angry with being black I think she is angry with both of her parents one for not being there and the other for being fucked up. I used to live there too, her mom was nuts, had the two kids on leashes all the time. I just remember while growing up and playin at the park always being able to hear her sing from her bedroom, mostly britney spears and stuff. its crazy that she has all this fame now, real happy for her.
What the heck. Fefe Dobson is mixed with white and Jamacian, so why would she call herself black? By saying that she’s not African American she is not rejecting her race, she’s pointing out the fact that she is also white. O.K like Fefe I to have a rich heritage.My Grandmother (on my moms side) is Indian or Native American and my Dad is from the Ivory Cost :Africa. The Native American part of me is not even visible, but you can see it in some of my cosin’s.I have always wanted to know more about that sied of me.Now both my parents are draker then me. Even with my mom being Native Americanpart- people are always asking”Where are you from”,but when I look in the mirror I just see a black girl.Thats what I say ”Black”. Growing up with my Dad not being a (Father) I had a hard time being called African because that was the part of me that came from him. Ok I agree with whoever said that ppl are getting 2 hyped up in race and think that being mixxed is oh so great and they try 2 make themselves myxed even though they are not……now if u are mixed meaning ur mom is one ful race and ur dad is another full race then there is nothing wrong woth embracing that…. but when u go back 47 generations and find out tthat u had another race in ur family doesn’t really give u the right 2 call urself mixed……..and truth be told…..most blacks in america are not 100 percent black but have some other race somewhere in the family line
