“Music World Music/Sony Urban Music/Columbia Records will release B’Day, the much-anticipated new solo album from Beyonce, on Tuesday, September 5. The pop music superstar’s sophomore studio album premieres all new music co-produced, written and arranged by Beyonce. “Deja Vu,” the album’s first single, features guest artist Jay-Z with co-production by Rodney Jerkins. Beyonce’s co-producers on B’Day include Rich Harrison, The Neptunes, and Swizz Beatz.
Beyonce finished work on her new studio album three weeks after the wrap of her upcoming film, “Dreamgirls,” slated to open nationwide on December 22, 2006. The film version of the smash Broadway musical – loosely based on the R&B-to-pop crossover saga of The Supremes — is directed by Bill Condon and stars Beyonce Knowles, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Hudson and Danny Glover. “Dreamgirls” and its soundtrack are among this year’s most avidly-awaited holiday events.”
This information came from a Music World press released, however rumors have circulated that Beyonce is recording two videos before the album’s release. I’m excited to see that she’s working with The Neptunes. That should be fun.

First, that is for damn sure not Bey’s hair. At times I wonder who puts her outfits together. Everyone else looks cute. Kimora is lookin’ FIERCE.

Beyonce’s work is not growing or maturing with her “age.” This song is something you might expect from the likes of Cassie or some deranged teenager. Beyonce is a grown woman, supposedly “25” this month she has no business – none in hell singing about “she gonna be rocking chinchilla coats if I let you go” and foolishness like that. She needs to be singing about mature songs, with mature topics for mature women her age and with message younger fans may be able to relate to. Gone are the teeny bopper years. Face it woman. Women her age aren’t concerned about what their ex’s will be doing with a new girl when they break up with them. Mature women focus on their lives and their business and wish their ex’s the best. They sure as heck aren’t obsessed with all the material things their ex’s have either. She sounds more like a golddigger than anything in this song (and yes, rich women can be golddiggers too). The only reason she doesn’t want to break up with this guy according to this song is because she doesn’t want him to have a good life with another woman, not even because she loves him or anything like that: “I don’t want him, but I want it.” Is a line in Ring the Alarm. What kind of message is this sending to young women? And I don’t care if she wants to claim that this song was inspired by the character in her upcoming movie because this is not a positive message nor a positive inspiration. If your character is materialistic, you don’t sing a song encouraging materialism, especially as a self proclaim “Christian and mature woman” you sing about how materialism is wrong. And on that note, I’m tired of seeing her in these scantily clad clothes, running all around the stage and in her videos. Yes, we all know sex sells… but have some class girl; you’re not exactly a size zero here. Have the nerves to sing “Nasty Put Your Clothes On”. Cover up like Amire and some of these other classy artists. Enough is enough already, act your age. You are not petite nor athletic either. Finally for crying out loud, sing a song that doesn’t have anything to do with the opposite sex for a change (Ring the Alarm, Dangerously in Love, Crazy in Love, Check Up on It, the list goes on… even on this sophomoric album) and if you don’t want to learn some real dance moves like Ciara, at least higher some real backup dancers and quit shaking around like an exorcist. Thank you.
wow #187 that was deep LOL. I like that song ring the alarm its tight in clubs. Ciara that girl can dance for real.
well i think the album sucks i expected more from B.I love her still
No yes i am here for yourself dinas
Whoever was the hater saying B first album only has 4 songs stop the press her whole album you could play right through except #4, but if you like that type of collabration then it fits right in with the rest of the album. STOP THE HATE PLEASE!!!
The album is tired. Her lyrics are silly. She repeats herself too much. Not hot at all. I didn’t get it because it just did not move me.
B is boring.
well damn is the ever a time when beyounce isn ot on the damn floor is that how her and jayz do it on the floor she’s gonna catch a rug burn i’m starting not 2 like beyounce because all her video’s lllllllook the sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssame .
I totally agree with Aurora #137 Beyonce is just not all that to me and this is not being said out of jealousy this is from the heart. Her voice will never touch Whitney Houstons in a million years. I hear many people say they get sick of looking at her and hearing about her all the time as if she is the only solo R&B artist out there and she is not, personally I think Alicia Keys has a much better voice, is far more talented and beautiful she is a natural beauty where as Beyonce has fake hair, fake body parts big false eye lashes, she is a fake beauty and I cannot figure out what the big deal is, this is nothing against her but I just can’t figure it out. And besides from that Christine A. does have a much better voice, and for the person that said she was white and should not be counted in, is very prejudice and immature, by the way she is hispanic.
dunno… Black, beautiful and …
Q. I’ve seen Beyoncé Knowles’ mother in photos. What is her ethnic background, and where is she from?
—Peader O’Cullen, Clifton, N.J.
A. “I was born in Galveston, Tex., of French and Cherokee Indian descent,” Tina Knowles, 53, tells us. “People ask where I got House of Deréon for our clothing line. Deréon is my mother’s maiden name.”
Hi, there!..b8c28c53ba819c9d549963f7c6b88e08
