- Atlanta rap duo Field Mob, recently signed to Ludacris’ Disturbing the Peace/Geffen imprint, has set June 20 as the release date for its third album “Light Poles and Pine Trees.” The first single, “So What” featuring Ciara, was produced by Jazze Pha. “Light Poles” is the follow-up to Field Mob’s 2003 disc, “From Tha Roota To Tha Toota,” which peaked at No. 33 on The Billboard 200 in the United States.
- The Ying Yang Twins are currently planning their third studio effort “2 Live Crew,” due later this year. According to member D-Roc, the album title is an ode to the raunchy 1990s rap group of the same name. “2 Live Crew” will be the follow-up to Ying Yang Twins’ 2005 set “U.S.A.: United State of Atlanta,” which bowed at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 932,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

- Hotel heiress and omnipresent celebutante Paris Hilton has been hard at work recording her debut album for Warner Bros. Records, tenatively titled Paris Is Burning. The album was previously slated for a summer ’06 release, but according to British tabloid, The Daily Star, it’s been delayed until at least September so that Hilton can include a cover of Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” on the CD.
- Now that Mimi’s been emancipated for a while, she’s ready to have a little adventure — so Mariah Carey’s taking her on one, launching her first full-scale North American arena tour, which she’s calling the Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, the Hits, the Tour.
