During their war of words, Envy SAID he went looking for Star with a gun but Star hid. And let us not forget the TSUNAMI SONG. Envy was on that song and that was dead wrong. He should have gotten fired too but somebody decided to give his stupid a$$ a second chance. All of them are fools.

All I’m saying is, if I didn’t know his style and I lived in another part of the country and I read what was said, I would be mad as hell but trust me when I say, he had no intention of harming that child, he just crossed the line while trying to shock the listeners. Envy for be arrested for harassment as well. I heard him say on the radio last Sunday that he’s shown up to Star’s radio station with “all of Brooklyn and half of Queens” to get “gully” with Star. He said he’d waited outside of the station for 2 days in a row to beat Star’s ass. This was prior to Star losing his fucking mind and saying that filthy shit about the 4 year old. Envy started all of this mess in the first place by talking shit about Star’s deceased father. Did it warrant Star’s tirade? No. But, Envy’s remarks were also “harassment” and can be classified as terrroristic threats”.

Firstly, Envy didnt file charges against Star the DA did. So Envy couldnt drop the charges on Star even if he wanted them dropped.

And secondly, why do people keep on bringing up the Tsunami song? Nobody is calling Envy a saint. That has no relevenace to this 4yr old girl and her mother. All of these outraged mothers, where are you when are children are being molested, raped and sexually abused? I have posted on this many a time, yet no answers. I really don’t get it. All the outrage on here, yet we still have one out of four girls being sexually molested in this country. That doesn’t include boys. It is not the Stars of the world doing that. It’s people we know and trust. With all that outrage you could potentially do something about it instead of ranting about Star. He said what he said so he’ll reap the consequences. But there are so many bigger issues here. Everyone is outraged by his comments, why? Where’s the outrage about hip-hop lyrics and videos and the sexual shit broadcast all over the radio and television all day? Where are the outraged black mothers of America when all that is going down? Apparently, just posting on blogs instead of actually doing something to change it.
On another note Hot 97 will be shut down sooner or later. They are already under eviction proceedings as people keep getting shot outside their building. We have had two shootings of two black men in hip-hop over the past month, not to mention I’m sure you could add hundreds of black men in other cities who’s names we will never know. WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE ABOUT THAT? Stop wasting your time on Star…that is small change.

As for MissTee2U and MizzRuby, I think your comments are very insightful. Instead of being pro-active, many people tend to be reactionary and make generalizations, for example,inciting violence or questioning the quality/quantity of blogger’s parenting skills. What is the point of that? As I stated earlier, Star is a ripple in a polluted ocean. He will test society’s tolerance as to the parameters of Free Speech. He threatened a child potentially endangering the welfare of that child. That is a reprehensible,criminal act (even if the statements were made tongue-in-cheek) and he will be dealt with accordingly. The mother of the child is taking action within the boundaries of the law (i.e., asking the school to tighten security, joining forces with City Hall, pressing charges against Star, suing for damages) to address the harm directed against her child and her family.
Are we addressing the harms that occur on a daily basis in our communities? I don’t have to give a laundry list of the issues we face, we all know what they are. Are we not our neighbor’s keeper?? Personally, I’d rather walk the walk than talk the talk. That’s how change happens, that’s how revolutions begin…
Now MizzRuby, I will fall back because this is far more energy than I want to expend on analyzing Troi Torain (a/k/a DJ Star, a/k/a,the new Lenny Bruce)and his foolishness. The are far worthier souls to be concerned with.
