TONI BRAXTON REVEALS

Toni Braxton will follow in the footsteps of Celine Dion and Elton John in staging a resident show in Las Vegas. “Toni Braxton: Revealed” will open Aug. 3 at Harrah’s Entertainment’s Flamingo resort and will run six days each week.

Described as “a sexy, entertaining and intimate evening,” the show will no doubt tap Braxton’s Broadway experience in the musicals “Beauty & the Beast” and “Aida.” She will be supported by a live band, backing singers and a cast of dancers.

“There is nothing like the thrill of performing nightly to a live audience with fans that have supported me throughout my career,” Braxton says in a statement. “I’m looking forward to developing the show for the Flamingo, settling into Las Vegas with my family and bringing ‘Revealed’ to a whole new crowd.” [SOURCE]

Article continued after the cut…

Braxton recently returned to live performing after several years off the road with a spring tour. She was out behind her 2005 Blackground album “Libra,” which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200.

“She is a vibrant entertainer,” adds Flamingo Las Vegas president Don Marrandino.

Tickets for the show are priced at $65, $75 and $100 and go on sale today (May 19) via the Flamingo box office at 800-221-7299. [SOURCE]

I’m glad Toni’s doing something else, considering that “Libra” didn’t do as well as people’d hope. Hopefully this will bring in some money.

uh . . .suzieque, what nationality are you? no, she did not have lip injections – she’s african american – and it is not the same as the white folks (or others) out there pumpin them up.

and i liked her in the day also, but glad she’s making a comeback. agree it’s not nec. to take all your clothes off to be a great singer, but unfortunately that is what sells (and she is stunning).

OK, I was wondering if I was the only one who thought her spot in the Aaliyah tribute video was tacky. Glad to hear that others thought so too.
