Her being on the stage by herself jumping and bouncing was a rip off of Tina Turner, Shakira, and someone getting they shout on in church. I wasnt feeling it. Her body was sick though. After I watched her performance, I turned it off and popped in Madea Goes To Jail.

If Beyonce does moves that Tina Turner did, or Pattie Labelle did. Whats wrong with being influenced by other legends. The girl always says she was influenced greatly by Tina turner and the others. Beyonce’s look & performance were flawless! Deja Vu is gonna have to grow on me, she was yelling too much. All the other performances were good. Chris Brown and Keyshia both ran out of breath about 1 minute into their set.

Young Joc & Diddy should have been left out of the lineup. Joc spent more time doing that fucking “motorcycle” than he did spitting. Chaka’s tribute was fire, there was too much heat on that stage, even Stevie jumped up with that harmonica! Fantasia was unnecessary, she can sing, but all she did was yell, Jamie just wanted to recreate what he did at the pre-Grammy party……whatever.

TI held it down, even though the sound team was backstage fucking up. And I know the guy who ran behind Brenda Lee when she was presenting Harry Belafonte, is looking for a job today.

Mary J. probably feels like she doesn’t have to try so hard anymore, but she was BORING! She should’ve maybe changed outfits or hairstyles, when she came out with Busta. That ponytail was wack! She always looks better. Did you see the look she gave Andre 3000 when he tried to keep talking?

And poor, poor Damon can forget about next year, at least he tried, he even tried to bring back his “Men on Films” character and that bombed as well.

I would definately have to agree with miss tianna on the fact that last years award show was much better than this one, i guess i had my hopes up alil too high and was let down by the overall drag of the show, there were highpoints but they were far and few between…the fantasia and jamie kiss was nasty, but it woke folks up, i kno i was on my way to go grab a burger or somethin befo that shit happened lmao..but i LOVED the busta performance, truly the best of the night..i personally liked keyshias performance..the simplicity was a nice welcome among everyone elses intricate (and sometimes unnesessary) sets, in my opinion beyonces performance was cute..nothing to piss the sheets over tho, the whole seizure thing wasnt a good look..but these are just my opinions, i aint hatin..I SWEA!

Beyonce’s performance was good. It was the least boring of all the female performers. Someone made a comparison to the fact that Keyshia and Mary sang all the way live but their performances consisted of standing in one spot and giving us a performance we could have gotten anywhere. And even at that Keyshia Cole couldnt finish her shyt strong. She gave up a minute before it was over and basically said fu*k it. And Mary screamed AGAIN!

The Beyonce performance was just ok to me–the best part was when Jay-Z came out and slapped her on the ass!

Wasn’t feeling the Jamie Foxx/Fantasia slob down. There really was no singing.

Keyshia Cole really needs to take some breathing lessons. She was out of breath like halfway through her song!

Performances I liked: Chris Brown, MJB-I think she should have opened the show (except for the outfit w/boots in June!), Busta-he did the damn thing, Mary Mary, Yolanda Adams was just beyond words (I noticed she did not have on her wedding ring-what’s up with that), Ne-Yo was kind of cute.

Overall, I thought the show was a good one. They should have had Monique instead of DW, though. I thought they were going to boo his ass off the stage when he started talking about rappers with speech impediments. And for it to be an award show they only gave away like 8 awards!

I hate to bring up Beyonce cuz I know yall are tired of hearing it-but yall know she is hot that she didn’t win anything!

My opinion:

Beyonce was on point as usual. I agree, only she could make having a seizure look sexy. I actually loved her outfit, though, the body art was really nice. And the all girl band, gotta’ love that.

I actually thought Mary J.’s performance was pretty good. I hate when she starts screaming and getting all off-key but she kept it cool last night. Without You was nice but Enough Crying got the crowd hype.

Best perfomance for the whole night would be a tie between Busta Rhymes and Chris Brown. That young boy is doing his thing! And Busta peformance of the Touch It remix with everybody on stage was hot!

Mary Mary’s performance was great. Those two ladies can sang!

Keyshia Cole… love her, but she was trippin’. That did not sound good at all. And what was up with her jerky movements? She really disappointed me.

Overall I was disappointed with the show, Damon Wayans was not funny and half the time sounded high. I would rather see Steve Harvey or Monique do the hosting duties…The performances were HOT, Busta & Crew tore it up.

I don’t know what some of ya’ll are talking about, but I think Beyonce is great. Lip syncing or not, she KILLED it. I was a little shocked by all the movement and humping on the stage, but the girl does her own thing. She has a lot of energy and she always puts on a good performance. She doesn’t do the same thing that everyone else is doing and doesn’t care about being prissy and cute like say Mariah Carey (I love her though) on stage.

Mary J. Blige’s vocals sounded better than usual. I didn’t hear all the usual screaming. I actually liked the outfit except for the drooping crotch area.

I LOVED Chris Brown’s performance. I think that was actually my favorite or one of my favorites. The boy can dance and sing. The performance was overall great. I loved when we got inside that thing and it moved him over the crowd.

Busta Rhymes’KILLED it. I loved the energy on stage. I was happy to see Eminem on stage too.

I felt bad for T.I. I was a bit confused but I love him anyway.

Overall I think this was one of the best BET awards so far. Save the corny jokes of Damon Wayans, but he didn’t bother me too much.

Bey and Jay was just as someone posted earlier a remake of CIL from the song lyrics to the dance performance. I think that when she performed CIL that show was so HOT that we all expected to see her top that and she didnt. I am not her biggest fan nor do I hate her so I will just call it like I see it. The whole bootie shakin thing is so 3 yrs ago-lets try something else, that was cute when you were barely legal but now you a grown ass women lets step the game up a little.

Jamie’s performance was ok, I think he can really sing but Fantasia really didnt serve a purpose in that set and I like Tasia.

Keyshia is my girl and glad to see that she soften her look a bit. Wanted her to really tear the house down cause that girl got some pipes-RAW talent, no vocal coaches and all that just pure God given talent. She didnt give me what I wanted but I think she was still good.

You know nothing about singing..let me enlighten you as a vocalist…. the MTV awards when Bey came out the ceiling uh she was lip singing get your tapes (LOL) out from that show and review. In last nights performance when Bey snapped her neck back but was still singing, thats totally impossible to not hear her voice jump a little in the mic. Let me put you on….what vocalists do when they know they are going to be dancing alot, they record the track over days before and switch up the vocals a little to give people the illusion of “shes not singing it the exact way the record goes so she must be singing live” Janet has done this for YEARS! To further add to the illusion of live singing they turn the mic on certain times so that she can acually hit a note or 2 to make it seem like she has been singing the whole time. Hence… the above you tude video… when she was jumping with the band and the song was about to end, her last “deja vu” the mic was turned back on. I am sure it was turned on other times but that was the one that stood out to me. OFCOURSE Bey does not have to lip sing, we all know that, Bey is no joke with the vocals but that doesnt mean that she doesnt do it. When you want to give a good PHYSICAL performance thats what you do. Everybody does it especially those that dance alot. Its okay (relax & breathe ya’ll stans) Bey is still great at her craft sometimes you need a little help so that you can get your dance on and not sound toally out of breathe….jeesh

I thought the show was pretty good overall but my top performances were Chaka Khan, Beyonce and Busta. I was so shocked at the Jamie Foxx and Fantasia performance it kinda scared me a bit but it was good otherwise.

Beyonce lipped 90% of that performance. I’m a fan of hers and have studied and watched her performances for years. Any human being would be out of breath or you would hear a change in the vocals because of all that movement. She was lip- syncing to a pre-recorded track and it was more than obvious to me. I must say she gets props for fooling so many who cant even tell lol. She didnt have ANY adlibs. Didnt sing or say anything when Jay was out doin his thing. Didnt hype the crowd up or speak to them at all during her performance. Something she does all the time when singing live.

You know nothing about singing..let me enlighten you as a vocalist…. the MTV awards when Bey came out the ceiling uh she was lip singing get your tapes (LOL) out from that show and review. In last nights performance when Bey snapped her neck back but was still singing, thats totally impossible to not hear her voice jump a little in the mic. Let me put you on….what vocalists do when they know they are going to be dancing alot, they record the track over days before and switch up the vocals a little to give people the illusion of “shes not singing it the exact way the record goes so she must be singing live” Janet has done this for YEARS! To further add to the illusion of live singing they turn the mic on certain times so that she can acually hit a note or 2 to make it seem like she has been singing the whole time. Hence… the above you tude video… when she was jumping with the band and the song was about to end, her last “deja vu” the mic was turned back on. I am sure it was turned on other times but that was the one that stood out to me. OFCOURSE Bey does not have to lip sing, we all know that, Bey is no joke with the vocals but that doesnt mean that she doesnt do it. When you want to give a good PHYSICAL performance thats what you do. Everybody does it especially those that dance alot. Its okay (relax & breathe ya’ll stans) Bey is still great at her craft sometimes you need a little help so that you can get your dance on and not sound toally out of breathe….jeesh

As far as performances…I wish Janet was able to do her new song. That would’ve been a really nice act. I guess I expected a little more from Beyonce and was disappointed. I hated her outfit, the body gliter/art and metallic was super tacky. As far as the lyp syncing, I believe it was only the last verse. Hoewver!, she did lip sync though but that’s okay…who really cares. And I think it’s just the single that people aren’t feeling.

T.I.’s: I thought it was nicely done. Yeah the F’ed up the audio but he really had me feelin’ the slower flow of “what you know.”

Chris: He was cute, I appreciate his young sillyness. And I’m so glad he won over Ne-Yo. After Ne-Yo did thoughs ratings about people on air, I think he put his foot in his mouth. He said that Chris does nothing he can’t do, but I think after last night he’ll take that back. How dare his unattractive ass sit and rate people (giving them lower ratings than he gave himself) who are doing much better than him. I’m glad he didn’t win because it was a reality check.

Jamie & Fantasia: I love Fantasia but Jamie still doesn’t hit it with me. Sorry, his vocals suck.

Busta: THE BEST! I was excited to see Lloyd Banks and Eminem turned it out man. Will-I-Am did his thing too.

Yung Joc and Diddy: This was a great relief…I LOVE YUNG JOC. I think they killed his audio as well, and as much as I can care less for Diddy…he was fun for the short period of time. The way the went back & forth together was really cute. I know a lot of you are saying this could’ve been left out, but I don’t think it was meant to be a “major” performance. Come on now, Yung Joc’s single has been number 1 for some time. I think his shine was well deserved. He had fun! :0)

Keisha and Mary J: Keisha did well, it’s always good to see improvement with someone’s talent. Mary…..boring and I hated her outfit.

Chaka Khan Tribute: One of my favorites, I watched it back (via DVR) this morning. I loved seeing Prince move. Yolanda has some pipes man, but I wish Mary J. had done Sweet Thing. India Arie, she is hot. Beautiful voice and hot body. Chaka is just beautiful, I loved seeing her back in the day shots.

Not to be here all day but I noticed someone mentioned the Mo’Nique and Rihanna thing. Yeah I think Mo’Nique did cut her off purposely. I think it’s time she get over the “skinny vs fat” thing she got going on. No one’s stopping her from losing weight (if that’s really what she’d like to obtain).

Sorry guys, but Beyonce was lip syncing to a live performance track. Janet, Britney, and most performers do it that to focus on their dance during the show. There would be no way for her to be that physical and never have to take a breath! Listen to the differences in her voice at the Jay Z concert sunday and the awards. You can clearly tell that when she sings live she puts her body into it. There were none of her trademark adlibs during this performance. It’s not a bad thing, she just did it to make her show better. Hell, Chris Brown should take notes!
