REALITY SHOW SEARCHES FOR NEXT EMINEM

Wednesday, June 14, 2006

white_rapper.jpg No it’s not that Jamie Kennedy show that comes on MTV, it’s a brand new talent show, via VH-1.

US network VH1 is launching a reality talent competition to find the next EMINEM.
The cable network is creating EGOTRIP PRESENTS THE WHITE RAPPER SHOW, a comedic reality series that will test the rap skills and urban knowledge of 12 aspiring white hip-hop artists.
White rap legend MICHAEL “MC SEARCH” BERRIN will host the show. Contestants will live together in the South Bronx section of New York City and participate in a series of challenges to test their music talent and ability to mesh with black culture. VH1 executive vice president of programming MICHAEL HIRSCHORN insists the show will be equal parts culture study and comedy. He says at the end of the day “they’ll have to earn credibility and the respect of the people in the Bronx”.

Watching white people; especially a bunch of wiggers on tv is quite entertaining so the show will probably be hilarious.

Lol…that sounds like it will be entertaining. It’s so obvious that white people hate black people b/c they wish that they were black and had our style and charisma….lol.

I love me some JAIMIE KENNEDY–the man is HILARIOUS. I watch the show..it is hilarious too (he is a comedian).

IS HE SERIOUS? (I look at it as a JOKE)…& for entertainment. He has some BIG TIME CELEBS on this show (rappers) asking them to listen to his DEMO. Which is actually not too bad (the one song that I did hear him playing in his car in one scene). I found myself bopping my head to the song not realizing it was even JAMIE rapping on the track. HOT BEAT too.

He is just having fun. I dont think it’s that serious.

This kid needs to stop.

I’m not gonna lie though, they could actually find talent. But for the most part, the level of corniness is gonna be too much…

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOO

Make it stop, please, for the love of GOD make it stop.

Where’s my butcher knife? lol

Eminem is overrated as a rapper anyway, shit. His rhymes are exceptional, but what bothers me about him is his VOICE. So damn annoying.

something is wrong with this. I’m not even exactly sure what. i just know i won’t watch it on TV. maybe on Youtube, that way VH1 won’t be getting any advertising money from me.
not really surprised that it’s on VH1, it’s like their mission to have the corniest line of series. “Celebreality” anyone?
although they do have some good specials, like Behind the Music

Eqotrip is the same group that did “Race-O-Rama”, which I enjoyed. It was funny and insightful and it made people squirm - it put everyone’s prejudices on display. (Example: they did an entire show about race and sex. They talked about exoticism and the way popular culture exploits minority women while claiming to empower them, as well as how black male sexuality is virtually non-existent except in hip hop videos, and then only in an aggressive or violent way.) If you saw that then you’ll know exactly where this will be coming from. This will be nothing like Flavor of Love or any of the Celebreality shows - it will be unlike anyone, including the participants, expects.

#7 evidently Dr Dre, didn’t he bring Eminem ugly azz out? Knew that boy was sneaky as shyt, how many times have u seen a black woman in hiz videos? and a white boy that sing nothing but black rap would surely luv women of color, but not Eminem. Wasn’t surprised at all when that shyt came out what he said about black women………….
