I hope this controversy helps Letoya out the same way it helped Destiny Child and (Beyonce the solo artist) become the success they are. No one was thinking about DC until the controversy and it turned out to be the factor that catapulted them to sucess - especially when they capitalized on the controversy with survivor. I believe the controversy factor is what’s working for Letoya, grant it her album is nice as was the “writing ont he wall”, but sometimes you need a little drama to kick up peoples interest in you. I think at the end of the day, this will all work in her favor.

As far as the presale controversy goes…the timing was interesting (to say the least) and even though her album is not actually being sold, her surprise pre release definitly generated a lot of buzz on a day when her long time “friend” was making her big first move as a solo artist. But at the end of the day, business is business, it might not be thoughtfull but that’s the way it is. Only Letoya can be responsble for her own success.

We all know Bee is mass merchandized heavily marketed artists and her father’s going to do what ever it takes to keep her at the top. I respect anyone who goes back to school, but to say that people who go back to get their GED’s are smarter than those who got it when they should have is absolute bull. A coincidence is one thing, but dis stuff just don’t sit right with me.

I agree with the comments about Beyonce having trouble dying down, and taking a year or to off. She doesn’t have to try to compete every year. Hell look at Alicia keys, she makes and album every 2 or 3 years and they still sell, just like her debut album.

Bey did a strong business move. with out competition there is not game. Rappers do it all the time they use each other as a sounding board to promote sales.

LaToya will win and so will Bey with all the publicity this is generating.

The thing is knowing how to use the good and bad without destroying the popularity of either side of the battle. But, as war goes someone has to loose or retreat. You know that most wealthy people who started their own business (Who are apart of the Fortune 500 companies) did not finish High School. But, whatever she does she will have money for the rest of her life no worries. But, if she ever wants to truly branch

Actually I’m quite tired of all the Beyonce hype. She’s a very talented young lady but things tend to get played out after a while. She has many talents to keep herself busy. Bee felt a little heat and doesn’t want to admit it. Letoya is doing better than a lot of people thought she would. I think people are ready for someone else to be on top, I know I am. When you are force fed too much of anything, you lose interest. Bee is simply not that interesting anymore.
