Viacom knows the demographic of BET and the MTV audiences..although they own them..more black people will and always will tune into BET than MTV..where white audiences watch MTV religiously..MTV reaches more households where there are still cities in the U.S. that can’t even get BET. Hate to say this but it’s been a while since I have watched either station. MTV doesn’t play videos and BET took away the news and lost a lot of respect from me with that UNCUT crap - which I realize is gone now, but a tribute show?! I do believe MTV is blacklisting Janet but alot of musical outlets have blacklisted her too which is the only reason why Janet wasn’t able to put up the multi-platinum selling #’s for her last album Damita Jo.
Quite frankly, Janet doesn’t really need MTV because she is a living legend but it wouldn’t hurt to have support from MTV(it could never hurt an artist to have MTV promote their music).
I don’t watch MTV so they can get a big F*ck You, for choosing to be biased about J.J. Super Bowl performance. By MTV supporting Justin T. and not Janet just shows that in the abstinence of truth, ignorance will prevail.

Bottom Line:
Janet has helped MTV become a trademark in so many ways. Janet helped paved the way for the majority of artist videos’ currently being promoted on MTV and I think Concrete Loop can be biased toward J.J. at times by choosing to market and publicize Justin’s video(white dude)and his music has nothing to do with R &B or hip hop.Almost, every time I turn around Bey pic is on the front cover of this blog.
Concrete Loop does not fall short being a hypocrite like MTV regarding blacklisting Janet but some people like to jump on Bandwagon……
