Danity Kane - One Shot (full) - download / Hold Me Down (full) - download
The first track, “One Shot” is a hard-hitting Bryan-Michael Cox-produced joint, that you may recognize from being the theme of the show. I like the production and their voices sound pretty strong. “Hold Me Down” is a Rodney Jerkins (some of you may know him as Darkchild) production. This is the song they recorded the other day on the show, with Aundrea chosen to sing vocals. The reason I’m anticipating this album is because of the variety of A-List producers they’ve worked with.
Amerie - Take Control (snippet) - download
This snippet isn’t all that new, but I figured I’d post it for those who haven’t heard it. Rumoredly produced by Rich Harrison, this is pretty different than a lot of stuff that’s out now. I have to admit that I like the energy of the track. Amerie’s next album, “None of the Above,” which is set to release early 2007 has been taking shape in the form of a few surfaced snippets which I’ve posted. Sounds like Amerie is trying to go for a pretty different sound.
PRINCE’S WIFE FILES FOR DIVORCE
Sunday, July 30, 2006 |
Prince’s wife, Manuela Testolini Nelson, filed the petition to end their five-year union.
“Deciding to end the marriage was a very difficult decision for Ms. Nelson,” says her attorney, Edward Winer. “She is seeking a cooperative resolution of this case and hopes the proceeding will be resolved quickly and respectfully. Ms. Nelson continues to be focused on her charitable work and her business, which remain her top priority.”
Prince’s personal lawyer, Patrick Cousins, confirms that Testolini Nelson is the petitioner. “His wife filed for divorce. This isn’t something that he wanted,” says Cousins. “There isn’t anything else. He didn’t counter sue. He is just trying to get it resolved.”
“All we can do is to just try to amicably resolve it, and that is what we are trying to do,” adds Cousins.

Amerie - That’s What U Are (snippet) - download
I really dig the groove of this song, seems like Amerie is touching even more into her sexuality on this upcoming album, which she mentioned she would do on “Touch.” I don’t know what Amerie is really going for on this album because the material that I’ve heard has been really mixed. Either way, I’m eager to hear what other material she comes out. Amerie has always been an artist that has intrigued me for some reason.
Christina Aguilera feat. Tony Yayo - Slow Down Baby (radio rip) - download
I posted a really low quality version of this song without Tony Yayo’s vocal sample, but it seems like, apparently, this will be the second single. I like the song, but I’m really scared for Christina with this themed album. I’m glad she’s trying to bring a different kind of music to a new audience, that’s very commendable. But I hope it doesn’t stick her in this box for her following video concepts after “Ain’t No Other Man.”
CHRISTINA MILIAN SMACKED HARD BY EVA LONGHORIA
Saturday, July 29, 2006 |
During the filming of Jessica Simpson’s new video “Public Affair,” Christina Milian said Eva Longhoria smacked her in the face on accident.
She explains, “There was this one moment where we had this little dance we had to do with our hands and I think they put it in the video.
“(Eva) accidentally hit me so hard in my nose. Unbelievably hard - I felt like I broke my nose!
“She’s a sweet girl. I know she didn’t mean it. But it did definitely hurt.” [SOURCE]
Damn! She hit her so hard her nose was hurting? Fuck that! We would have be fighting. & Yes I am aware Eva’s last name isn’t ‘Longhoria’ but doesn’t it sound accurate?
