I hate referring to skin colors by names like caramel, dark chocolate, mocha, and ish. LOL But for the sake of this discussion…okay. Light brn skinned sistas catch my eye quicker but doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll be attracted to them. I’m a face dude. I like a sista that has a nice shapely body but when you thinkin bout procreating it’s the FACE that matter (unless you want fine body kids with ugly mugs…lol). So give me a cute face not so thin in the waist sista over a sista with body for days but a face you can only stand looking at for seconds. LMAO!! But I must say that as I get older (late 20’s here) I am finding out that a woman’s INNER beauty is SOOOOOO much more important than her OUTER. Ofcourse, mutual attraction is important but I like to fall for a woman’s mind and heart first (I know I sound sappy now) and then the rest will follow - UNLESS she’s just an EGOR which I doubt. But don’t you all ever see couples and wonder why in the one person is with the other (cuz you know they could do a whole lot better look wise with someone else)? I believe it’s b/c that other person has an inner beauty that only that person appreciates and makes up for their outside aesthetics. Anyway, that’s my take on it. But as far as preferences go I PREFER woman my complexion (which I guess is light medium brwn) or lighter. However, darker sisters aren’t excluded - especially if they bringing a lot to the table (mind, heart, spirit, etc.)

Just because we are not in chains and in the fields doesn’t mean we are not still trapped and looking for “the man’s” approval. I won’t blame everything on YT, but there are obvious and subliminal messages everywhere everyday. Living in Chicago, you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding chocolate, but if that is not what you really want you won’t be really looking for that. And, Mark, there is nothing wrong with preferences - everybody has them. I am a lighter-brown color (well, actually I have a nice little shading because of the sweltering sun - I’m also SS Chi!) but my preference is darker tall men. That doesn’t mean I won’t give a light-skinned man the time of day, it’s just what I like.
