Kelis – 80′s Joint (full) – download/alternative
Finally, something from Kelis that I haven’t been completely disappointed in. I love the groove of this song, very nice. Even though Kelis’s voice doesn’t deliver a stellar performance, I really dig this song. I can really get into it. I hope she has more stuff on her album like this. I don’t really know what the words are, or what the song is about, but it just has a really funky flavor and feel.
Danity Kane – Right Now (full) – download/alternative
I had a feeling that Danity Kane tracks would be leaking like crazy this week. I really do like this song though. It’s really mellow and chill but at the same time, there’s a lot of intensity in it. The drums sound like Timbaland, but that’s off the record, because something about it is a little different than other Timbaland productions. I really do dig this song though. Like I said, Diddy pumped money into this project. Lots of A-Listers.
Rihanna – We Ride (full) – download/alternative
Rihanna’s third single from, “A Girl Like Me” is “We Ride.” This song is pretty fun and it reminds of the summer for some reason. Not big on Rihanna’s voice, but there’s something about this song that’s just fun. As you know, Rihanna recently went platinum with this album, before the release of the third single. It’s a good song to close the summer out with and a huge change from “Unfaithful.”
Tamia – Happy (full) – download/alternative
Tamia’s album “Between Friends” knocks so hard that I decided that I needed to post more tracks from it. As I said before in the post about Tamia’s album, “Between Friends” was only released in South Africa. “Happy” is one of my favorite songs on the album, so I just thought I’d share. Hope you guys enjoy.
