I also love CL but the simple fact is that they post a lot of magazine covers which Beyonce happens to be on. I beleive that a lot of my Beyonce (over)exposure comes from visiting these black blog sites. Whether its a hate post or a love post she is all over these blogs. Many of us are not in the grocery store all day looking at magazines so we wouldnt see all these Beyonce pics if we didnt catch them here. So whose to blame for the over exposure? Its ourselves. #205 Neither Brandy or Beyonce has incredible range! Now Christina A. and Fantasia that’s a different story. Fantasia screams but she does it str8 out of church. Beyonce tries to sing hard and strong and it sounds like she’s screaming. She can’t control her voice, and no soul! Just on that alone Brandy would kill her singing. Brandy knows how far to go and when to run. Beyonce tries to run every few words, that’s not singing naturally that’s being trained a little. I don’t think the girl B ever sung in church. Christina is white but she would kill the both of them if you want to be honest!

Beyonce looks good in these and I’m glad that it sounds like they are ( jay-z) doing well. B/c they always look like they are having fun in their vacation pics. You can’t knock her hustle! The girl doin the damn thang!

Soulchild (211) no disrespect, but it’s lazy to fall back on the excuse of “why do black people always have to hate on each other” as a reason to support some of the foolishness that Beyonce promotes.

God bless her soul, she is a sweet girl, but she is not a role model for young black girls. If I’m supposed to buy into her obsessive media frenzy…just because I’M black…then I’m gonna need her to put some clothes on and stop singing about being money-hungry and obsessed with a man…just because SHE’S black.

I don’t have to support anybody who has no concern for the negative impact they have on young children, girls in particular. Yes, she is rich and beautiful, but is that all we as a people value? What happened to us? What happened to the music that used to be our cultural statement? Now, like someone before me said, it’s dead. It’s devoid of any real meaning. And many of us have just accepted it.

I enjoy some of Beyonce’s music but I do not buy her products. Our community is too fragile for us to hoist someone like her up as the black woman to emulate.

A race is only as strong as its women and B is not strong. She is pretty but she’s not strong. She’s a product of the white media, anyway, so don’t give me that line about “black people always hating on each other.” That’s just a cop-out.
