ANYWAY…I just joined this site the other day although I have been reading for the past few weeks since I’ve been put on bedrest for the rest of my pregnancy, and I really hope you guys get nominated for some categories because I feel that this site really deserves it. I have easily become an addict. I can can come here not only to laugh which i do DAILY, but to engage in intelligent conversation regarding things in our black community. I really enjoy the polls and how frequently you update, and I hope that you get the credit that you definitely deserve. I have recommended this site to TONS of people so keep up the good work you guys!

Okay so I went to their site, and in the navigation section click where it says ‘BWA Blog.’ There is a notice titled ‘Reading is Fundamental’ and in it it states among other things….’Nominating one site in each of the twenty-one categories’ is not allowed… i’m confused?

great site! i’m hooked… if i were a drug user CL would be my drug of choice!

I’ve been hooked on CL for a while now and I still think it’s an addictive site. I support all of the categories except for Blog to Watch. Lately, ya’ll have been successful with these Beyonce’ posts when it’s plenty of room for the more intellectual posts. I understand that this is an entertainment blog but it doesn’t hurt to give some people, who like debating, a topic with a little more substance.

My sentiments exactly. I couldn’t agree more. It’s a lot of other interesting news out there besides Beyonce. For instance, the lawsuit that’s going on between the founder of Dontdatehimgirl.com and the lawyer that’s suing her. And I haven’t seen anything about the Duke rape case. If a post was put up, please forgive me. But I think that should get as much exposure as the Beyonce posts. But I guess topics like that will just bore the simple-minded.

Yall have to remember this is an entertainment blog, which means we predominately talk about gossip, music, etc. We don’t try to get too serious on here. If you want an intellectual discussion about various news stories, you are on the wrong site. Point Blank.

I do from time to time, try to mix it up a bit. But like I said, this is an entertainment blog. People are always trying to make it something it’s not.

Angel.La: You’re the founder/creator so in no form am I going to undermine your comment. But as young black people our minds should be not be limited to just Hip-Hop and entertainment. I don’t know any other black blogs that are intellectually based. The reason I like CL is because it had different topics such as the Bill Cosby posts, etc. That gave you the debating and socially aware comments that are out there. I think we as blacks need that. Entertainment is entertainment. But it can also be EDUTAINTMENT. If you know of any black blogs that are on the level that I speak of, please let me know. I will always be a CL lover. I can always have the best of both worlds.
