We all knew he had it in him. It was just a matter of time before the judges of project runway realized it. Home boy WON the most important challenge thus far. So everything worked out for the good. He gets a spread in the magazine with his design. Its gonna be off the chain. And how dope was it to have all the judges praise his work.

The Project Runway season is not over so I am not rushing judgement.

However, thus far, Michael’s designs, workmanship and ability to work with others has been outstanding.

I love him!!! He is so no drama all business and he deserved to win! Him, Laura, Cain, and those blonde headed girls are good. I’m starting to like weird ass Angela. Her and her dam rosesettes on everything, but I think Michael and Laura taught her to tone down her craziness when they worked with her. It really helped. She’s becoming one of the best ones on the show. All those other men can go home like yesterday…

I love love love his style. He was like “I mean it’s cute, but cute is not what I was going for”. I heard that, honey. I would rock that shit right there, fiyah.

#30 Ummm, she’s a model. Skin and bones is usually the look. I, for one, think she’s fierce and a big part of why Michael won the challenge (just like she won the first challenge for the dude who ended up getting kicked off). I’m glad she’ll get to do the spread in Elle.

I love Michael, but I guess I’m the only one who wasn’t enamoured of this outfit. I liked it better with the little belted mini (before he changed it). When he said he was going to alter it, I thought he meant the top, cuz Pam Grier was known for her T&A, but the top deemphasized the “T”. Also, I thought the color was wrong (in the movies I’ve seen, Pam Grier seemed to favor orange).

But the judges loved it (especially the color) and he won, so what the hell do I know. Go Michael!!

That model is the best on the show. All the designers want to work with her, and I had a feeling he would win when she picked him. Micheal is a real rarity on reality tv. A brother who is talented and not all about drama or being a queen (like Marceles on BB7). I hope he goes all the way.

The only fashion house that I seen use Full figured girls and/or mid size women is the Ebony Fashion Fair.

And I must admit, I never realize how SEXY a full size women could be until I saw

i saw a lil bit of this episode, i’m glad that he won b/c he basically got no shine before this time. the reason that he didnt get shine was b/c he was in groups designing clothes. my two fave designers on there are micheal and the redhead skinny lady. micheal didnt get his shine b/c he wasnt a necksnapping ghetto person plaina nd simple. will he or the read head skinny lady win??? yes!!

@ bill (#48), they use super thin models with flat chest on the show because they’re like hangers, no shape, but you see the clothes, not them. Also, they use less material for a thin model.

but I think normal looking people should be on runways too, but everything must be all “haute” in the high fashion world i guess.

Michael, like Kara Saun from season one, makes me wonder how many extremely talented black designers are out there that don’t get the xposure they deserve.

I love Michael. I really need him to startn his own line ASAP, so I can get some Michael in my life! My 8 year old neice is rooting for him to win as well. It’s so funny…she said she likes him because he reminds her of her daddy (kinda gangsta) yet he sews! Love it!

As in the words of Tim Gunn..He made it work! The outfit was hot and I loved the last minute redo. I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.

I think #15 meant the challenge was to design an outfit for Pam Grier (which it was) and not the character Foxy Brown, as stated in the post. I don’t think #15 is that clueless.

this is my favorite show! i was sooo happy when he won the challenge! michael is really cute too…it was sweet when he called him momma up to get some love and encouragement before he got designing. GO MICHAEL!!!
