pastor troy put out “ain’t no mo play in GA.” i think that was his most popular song and it was mostly popular here in the south. it’s really popular in some parts of TX. they still play it in the clubs here every once in a while.

Janelle Monae is not bad.Its just that fucked up hairdo. She needs a perm to relax that hair of hers. Then I’ll get back to her.
As for the movie, It looks corney to me.But you know Outkast been doin that shit for awhile. I like some of their work tho.

All I got to say is the movie is phenomenal. Saw it lastnight @ a screening. The movie is like a musical color purple if ya ask me. And the amount of established black actors in this film is overwhelming. Go see this movie, if you don’t like the movie you’ll love the music or vice versa.

Have any of you ever considered that Janelle has been there and done that with the whole perm thing. Everybody is difference, Janelle’s hair goes clear down to the middle of her back when it’s pressed out. Apparently she dosen’t want to wear her sh!t straight. She’s a “different” soulful kind of chick, that knows her ROOTS and her background. She’s not trying to be somebody she’s not.

And for the “she tries to pose like she’s sexy comment. My cousin IS SEXY. She looks better than any you that are making nasty comments about her, when she inside and out one the most BEAUTIFUL people you could ever meet.

I saw a preview for the movie and I can’t wait. It seems like its going to be a cross between Chicago and Harlem Nights. I love that there is a good black Drama out there instead of the same ol’ Boys in the Hood type movie or some stupid Wayans Brothers film.
I can’t wait. They will definitely get my money at the theater!

You can only imagine what types of ideas they came up with for this movie.
