Jody was in NY Tuesday to promote for her comeback CD launch ‘The Makeover’. I absolutely LOVE this woman. I remember going to my Aunt’s house dressing up in her clothes and dancing to Jody’s music in the 80s lol. She looks terrific now, I love the afro.

what i dont get is how people can talk about jody and the way she was back in the day as if she was dead!
she just released her 9th album…she won grammys…she was the first female popstar to me and im 32 !
she was too white for the blacks and too black for the white people!
she was the first female star who featured a rapper in a song! way before ashantis and j lo(w)s of today. she was a dancer, a singer and ,most of all a performerw ho did vogueing 5 years before madonna did it!
she wa the first one to work with movie dirctors for her videos ( david fincher )
she worked with fashion photographers (steven meisel) and incoorprated her own personal style in her music and created an image which is inspiring other artists still in 2006!
she was and still is a hell of a singer and she can write the most amazing ballads i ever heard( check out desinys childs sweet sixteen and jodys all beginns with you )
BUT SOME STUPID PEOPLE HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO BUT TALKIN TRASH CAUSE THEY DONT KNOW NOTHIN ABOUT HER!
thats so sad cause she is one of the only few real stars to me and to most of the people i know!
