Baltimore/Washington in the house!!! This event has been all the buzz around this area…Cathy Hughes and Radio One should be commended for all of their efforts to make Black radio a force to be reckoned with…Great to see all of the support of all the artists..Everybody looked great…But, when all the hype is over Yonce and not the QUEEN OF SOUL, I have a problem! Very few artists have Aretha’s talent and longevity and in my opinion Yonce is aiight but she’ll never be Aretha! Five years from now, Yonce’ll be lucky if her comeback album makes it into the Top 100.

Man this is an awesome event and its rare all these black people be together like this in D.C! Like I said I can’t believe it.

I actually met her before(she is so so nice too) and her hair is absolutely beautiful I don’t think she should cut it people pay to get hair to look like that. My hair is around the same grade not as long but every time I want to cut it my mom reminds me that “girl you should lucky to have “good hair” what the hell does that mean. Its hard as hell for me to find products to put in my hair white products dryout my hair and black products make my hair to greasy. I know this is probably off subject any suggestions? I made the comment about her cutting her hair, she needs it. She’s been sporting that part in the middle greasy look since the first day of forever.

I remember on her talk show she said something about her grandmother telling her not to cut her hair because that’s what makes her…that old nigga shit.

Even Chili changed up…took a while but she did.

She could stand to cut off a couple of inches…maybe get a roller set…..get a couple of loose curls. Something that’ll make her stop looking like a greasy witch.

I have seen both of them perform live in the last 5 years and I can honestly say that Aretha has lost the power in her voice. Of course it’s because she’s old now and Beyonce is still young and still has her voice. I’m just saying that I’m not surprised to hear the reviewer say that Beyonce, not Aretha got the crowd hyped.
