Never been a big fan of Survivor but I might have to tune into the season finale to see what den jumped off.

This is the perfect opportunity for everyone on the show to help shatter any negative stereotypes people may have about their race.

It’s a great idea. Groundbreaking. Controversial. But it could work.

I just hope the Blacks and Latino’s play the game smart and not fall into the reality tv trap.

Did any of you read that this was to boost ratings? Controversy always makes good publicity which is why people WILL tune in. You don’t even have to read between the lines on this.

Why are they doing this? What is the purpose putting race against race? Its dumb also considering there is no such thing as race. What are they trying to get at with this? I think this is one of the corniest things done since Brittney Spears reality show.

I may be tuning in for this Survivor. I’ve never watched any other Survivor. It will be interesting to see which groups prevail in the challenges. I don’t think it’s a racist move at all. Now, if CBS got members from the KKK and other race hate groups then that would be a racist move, but CBS isn’t that stoopid.

We (Black People) got the Sports game on LOCK

Football, Basketball & Baseball is OUR sports.
We excel in the Three Major sports @ EVERY Position, e.g Quaterback-Football, Center-Basketball & Pitcher-Baseball..
We Got Tennis (William Sisters) & Golf (Tiger Woods).
The ONLY sports Whites can beat us at is HOCKEY (because we ain’t trying to get on no ice skates)
& Swimming (what can I say, Black can’t swim..jkd.lol).

The Amazing Race isn’t the same thing. Those teams SIGN UP together. They aren’t segregated by the producers.

I know it is not the same, but the producers pick who they want.

How can we get our kids to stop perpetuating racism and to see a man for more than his color when we have TV networks that air shows like this? What’s the purpose…to see which race is better? To shine a light on stereotypes? WTF!! I’m really appalled.

#37 They did it by gender already. Vanuatu. I’ve always watched Survivor so I’ll most likely watch this one. Unfortunately, in all survivor seasons there are only one or two black people cast. And usually the don’t represent very well. I hope that this group will work well together. Out of 11 seasons, only 1 black person has won and 1 hispanic person has won. Both women.

^Fact: A black woman would be put in a position of power before a black man any day. This is why a black man has yet to win on Survivor or most of these game shows for that matter. It’s not “cool” (damn near blasphemous) to see a black man on top. The Apprentice is the only exception I can think of off the top of my head. And Amazing Race doesn’t count b/c they were a black couple. Don’t beleive me? Check the stats. If I’m wrong, let me know. I’d like to hear about it.

Dividing people up by men or women, young or old is one thing. Dividing people up by race takes it to a hold other level whether we want to admit it or not. If it’s right or wrong, well, I’m not sure and I don’t watch that crap anyway. However, it will make some people uncomfortable. Some folks will do anything for money(and I’m not just talking about the contestants).

The reason why all the white people are younger is because dont no asians, hispanic, and especially no young black people want do that shit! All these races have done survivor before, it called SLAVERY!
