Lil’ Kim – Game’s In Trouble (full) – download
Looks like immediately leaving the jail, Kim headed back in the studio. And that’s pretty much a good thing, considering that the promotion for “The Naked Truth” pretty much stopped after the second video for “Whoa! (My Niggas)” was released. I hope that means that there’s new album coming out at the top of 2007. I hope she takes some time on it and doesn’t rush. Her last couple of albums have been great. It’s time for a good comeback.
Snoop Dogg feat. B. Real – Vato (full) – download
I posted a low-quality version of this song, produced by The Neptunes, and featuring Pharrell. But this re-worked version is not as promising as the first. Pharrell, using an accent on the previous hook, really added something to the song. This version just sort of leaves me cold. Snoop’s got a lot of expectations to fulfill on this new album, because “R&G: The Masterpiece” was a nice piece of work.
Ruben Studdard – Change Me (full) – download
Looks like Ruben is back, after all that money drama. After the success of his gospel album, looks like he’s coming back with a more contemporary R&B sound. I really enjoy Ruben’s voice. I think he has real staying power. I just hope they give him some better material.
Danity Kane – I Wish (full) – download
This is an unmastered version of a Danity Kane track that’s not making their self-titled debut album. The song was produced by Ryan Leslie, and I can definitely see why this song was left off the album. Not only is the production of the song sort of lackluster, but the lyrical content just isn’t all that great either. Be sure to be on the look-out for Danity Kane’s video for their single, “Show Stopper.”
