THE NEW MUSIC REVIEW

Thursday, August 10, 2006

Q. Amey - All I Can Say (full) - download
Looks like my boy Q. is back! I’m glad to hear some more material from him other than “Forever Girl,” his first single. If you don’t know about Blackground artist Q. Amey, you should definitely check him out on his official website. This track is produced by the Corner Boyz. It’s a laid-back, nice mid-tempo jam. I’m really digging it. Can’t wait to get more music from him.

Cee-Lo Green - Ophidiophobia (full) - download
Ophidiophobia is the fear of snakes, so I guess it’s no surprise that this appears on the “Snakes On A Plane” soundtrack. I pretty much love anything that Cee-Lo does. It sounds like that something that could have made the Gnarls Barkley album. As I’ve said previously, with the success of Gnarls Barkley’s album, “St. Elsewhere,” Cee-Lo has many projects coming up, including the album with Jazze Pha, “Happy Hour,” and a rumored third solo project.

Beyonce - Ring the Alarm (full) - REMOVED
I’m sure everyone who wants it has this already, but this is the high quality, CD version of the Swizz Beatz-produced “Ring the Alarm.” Supposedly, “Ring the Alarm” isn’t going to be the second single, although Sophie Muller already shot a video for it with Beyonce. Apparently, they are going to use The Neptunes-produced “Green Light” as the second single. Who knows… it may all just be rumors. Anyway, here’s the CD quality version.

Kelis feat. Nas - Blindfold Me (full rip) - download
This is supposedly Kelis’s new single, “Blindfold Me.” For some reason, I am not digging any of the material that I’ve heard from Kelis’s new album. What happened to her voice? Kelis has never been a SINGER, but at least she used to sound like she was trying. Her voice sounds like years and years of chain-smoking. Honestly, though, I was digging some of the tracks on the album, and the beat on this song is sick. But the vocals really just turned me off.

LOL I am having a ball reading all these comments.

everyone needs to stop trying to change people’s minds. beyonce fans are going to remain beyonce fans, regardless of whether they like or dislike this song, and people that can’t stand beyonce are going to continue to not be able to stand her.

that’s fine! I wish everyone would just agree to disagree and realize that beyonce doesn’t care about what any of us think of her LOL.

all this arguing is really ridiculous!

OMG This new song by Miss Knowles is too freaking HOT to death! Beyonce has done it once again. She must have music running through her vains. Such an amazing talent she is. Her voice on the track is bananas. She is blowing. Shutting down every other entertainer out there down. No one can even or should be compared to her. She is in a league of her own. A true Goddess. I love the Beat and the screaming….!!!! Number 1 this song will go

Here we go again about Beyonce. Both the hating and the dick riding need to stop as they are both equally annoying. Do people actually sit at home and think about her like that??? That is sad. Pick up a book, go to the gym, just get a life because she is not that serious. There are more pressing issues going on that we should take note of that stem outside of the world of BEYONCE.

Mary J Blige is going to win the Grammy’s. If not her then Corrine. She won’t be nominated in the Pop category. I think that B will be snubbed next year.

Deju Vu is free-falling on the charts that’s why. It’s going down in airplay and it’s falling on itunes. She has to release something else.

I really love the Kelis track..I’m excited about the album. I like all 4 songs I’ve heard.

As far as Beyonce’s song goes…I was expecting alot more. I don’t know how well this would do as a single. Someone said that it was very DC-ish..and I agree. It does sound like something from “The Writing’s On The Wall”. I just hope that “Green Light” is better.

actually, kelly, “deja vu” jumped from like 34 to #4 this week. so I’m not sure how accurate that information is.

167.

Kelly

Friday, August 11, 2006 /

That was because of digital dowloads. & if you check the charts she fell from 4 to 6. Deja Vu had the fastest rise and fall in radio history. She doesn’t have longevity anymore. By next week Deja Vu will be out of the top 10. It’s huge disappointment for her seeing as how COI did so well.

Fergie went to #1 because she had digital downloads AND airplay to support her.

chris it seems you have a personal issue with beyonce, tell me what happened, were you her personal assitant, and she fired your dumb ass, or what? did she steal your man, why all this rage, why waste your time talkin about beyonce (when it is clear you hate her ass), when you can be doing something productive with your life. LOL.

You Clearly CANNOT READ I HAVE NOT SAID ANYTHING ABOUT BEYONCE I ACTUALLY LIKE THE SONG OHMIGOD YOU ARE SOOO RETARDED>

When did Beyonce start sucking hard all of a sudden?

Deja Vu was the most uninspired single since Janet Jackson’s Call On Me and now Miz Bootylicious is following her tepid song with another boring single off her upcoming album, B Day.

The second offering is Ring The Alarm, which should be titled Signal The End Of Beyonce’s Career. The song is so unoriginal and sad.

We don’t mean to be harsh, but the music speaks for itself. And it makes our ears bleed.

We miss the old Beyonce! Back when she was good!

RTA is hot on the first listen. But it’s forgettable. There are too many other songs that are better than it.
