#1 Hit!!!! I Really like Lupe Fiasco, it seems as if he has a positive insight on life and uses the negative in a more appropriate manner. There should be a whole lot more rappers that should follow that path Lupe’s going. I’m sick of all these so call gangsters putting down women and using killing and weapons in order to stay cool and sell records. Lupe is honest but he knows what how to put his lyrics together by using what he’s got..his brain and making it sound good for EVERYBODY. He’s got a good head on his shoulders. I wonder if I am reading too much into the robot thing. But I think that the robot is symbolic of how controlled rappers are by what the industry and streets expect of them. That was based on the lyrics. Can’t wait until the album comes out. Loved the video.

Lupe is from Chicago not Philly. He is a devout Muslim. If you read any of his interviews (he was in the Source 200 issue) or listen to his lyrics, you’ll know that he practices what he preaches. He will not go mainstream. He doesn’t drink or smoke and stays away from the “lifestyle” of the average rapper. In the Chi he always remixes songs from other rappers to actually make what they’re talking about make sense (most notably Kanye’s Jesus Walks and Diamonds) he killed it so much that it was rumored that Kanye was a bit upset. We are very proud of our nerdy Muslim in the Chi. GO LUPE!!!!!
