See thats the reason an artist have a hard time being an artis because you always want them to stay in a box. Monica has a great voice but she is also from atlanta why can’t she rep, so what about what she did before i personally wanted to see something new from her and i think it’s a fresh new single i love it no body sings whitney houston type of songs anymore we are in a diffrent generation and monica is only 25 so she is a part of that knew generation of singers music and the sound of music changes so you have to change with the sound as long as it fits the singer and that song fits monica its just remember her song street symphony that was one of my favorit songs but it didn’t go over well because people want to give monica a certain image that wansn’t really her but because she had this powerfull voice its like no you cant be streen or hood thats why she had a song called i’m to hood for you and she was trying to tell people how she really was but she kept being marketing as a type of whitney houston with beatiful ballads so that is her but they would really allow her to do that type of music i think she had a hard time having street symphony released as a single.
Miss Jones is so f***ing phony. First of all, I wanna know where all of a sudden she got this bad bitch persona from because she always played the pu$$y role until recently-like the past 5 years or so. And in that audio she insists she didn’t diss Monica but I live in ATL now(moved from bklyn 6 mos ago) and Monica talked about this a couple of weeks ago on V103 and she wasn’t that upset about what was said about the record-she was like u either like it or u don’t(she actually said she wanted to do a song that reminded her of her ATL roots)….She was upset about Jones talking about her looks and how skinny she was. Now, I don’t know WHAT Monica yall lookin at, but I ALWAYS remembered Monica being skinny, lanky, tall with big feet! Who else feels the same?

Come on people it’s not that serious. First of all Jones is entitled to her opinion (it’s called freedom of speech) and Second, Monica needs to just brush the dirt off her shoulders. I mean really, does she think that everyone is going to love every song she does? Being in the public eye means putting up with the opinions of everyone even when you don’t want too. I love Monica and her music but her new one i don’t like either, but that’s only because i’m a true R&B lover. I love and Miss the old R&B singers from the late 80′s and early 90′s and even the 70′s. Monica is a true singer and she just flew of the handle without really listening to the whole content of the comment made by Jones. The old Monica, Faith, Mary J Musiq, Tamia, Deborah Cox and sooo many more brought some great vocals to the game. Those were the days.

I think Monica saw a time for a change from the powerful, slow ballads she use to sing and went for something more upbeat, but her single still sounds good upbeat songs are in now!!!! Miss Jones needs to stop hating on someone who is mixing things up a bit.
Shes wrong for dissin on Monica for making songs that cater to everyone and not just singing the sultry ballads that she is known for but she is DEAD RIGHT about Ciara not being able to sing. Dat heffa can harmonize a lil bit but the rest is whats called STUDIO MAGIC!!! LMAO!!!
