Tell me why I was all amped to watch the new season of ANTM, only to find out we don’t even have The CW is my area yet. I was hoping someone would post the premiere on Youtube and someone did. For those of you who missed it, the rest of the show is located here…
Anyway, on to the pictures.. Thie first shoot was about model stereotypes, each girl had to portray a different stereotype.
Eugena – Black girl trying to be white // Jaeda – Plastic surgery obsessed
Monique – Phone throwing diva // Anchal – Narcissistic // Amanda – Anorexic
Brooke – Backstabbing bitch // CariDee – Dumb blonde // Megan – Lap dog
Michelle – Bulimic // Megg – Strung out druggie
AJ – Casting couch // Melrose – Won’t get out of bed for less than $10,000

i think eugena is very pretty, but my favorite has to be AJ. i like her. Anchal is ok, she looks like she has a nice personality, just needs more confidence.
My favorite picture personally is Michelle’s picture. It’s really disturbing, so she def. did her job right.
Several things about last night’s show bothered me.
1. Tyra doesn’t pose nude, so why make the girls pose naked for their first shot
2. I hate how they kept making the girl from SC do “Tyra” Poses
3. Tyra’s big obnoxious hair
4. “Stripping is not Modeling” quote
5. Tyra’s acting
6. All those pictures of her everywhere; even in the LIMO.
7. The twins
8. Her telling the Indian girl about her eyes and true beauty, when Tyra is continually wearing weaves and weaving other folks hair
9. FINALLY, I didn’t think any of those girls were beautiful!!! The best season was Eva’s with Ya-Ya and Tocarra!
NYCKIE I completely agree. I’m starting to like Project Runway a little more than ANTM. But I will still watch ATNM this season.

I loved Melrose’s runway performance. But I like A.J. alot, too.
Tyra know she gets on last nerve. She is just so extra for no reason. She completely turns me off. Is she married or dating anyone? I cant even see it.

Tyra is on my last nerve too, Nyckie, but I’ll have to say that one girl was out of line for trying to convince Tyra that stripping and modeling were the same. I would’ve thrown her out on her ass if she said some shit like that to me.
And yes, Tyra is well within her rights as the show creator to expect the girls to pose nude on the first week. It’s a test. You have to be prepared for all types of shit, and if you can’t take off your clothes, then you ain’t cut out, period.
Additionally, some of these girls are just STUPID. Tyra been asking these girls for the past 4 years to pose nude and cut their hair and every year without fail these chicks start whining about it!! I’m like “have you not been watching all these years?”
I loved Michelle’s pic. She looked like Fiona Apple. The chick Monique has already turned me off. Why does there always have to be a Black Bitch on these reality shows?
Trust- you didn’t miss much. It was kind of boring to me & I didn’t find any of the girl strikingly beautiful. I thought Anchal was going to be BEAUTIFUL from the promo pictures but now- to me- she looks weird- like a rat- plus her body was substandard (compared to the other models) But question- does anyone find it suspect that the ANTM site doesn’t have the heights of the girls posted?? When you are super skinny you look tall so I am not sure if the girls are really tall or really short?? Not an important issue but I would like to know-

A.J. / Michelle – Tie for best pics of the night! They both rocked it! A.J. could use more confidence though if she wants to win, and Michelle and her sister both do great editorial tyoe modeling, but I’m wondering if they could pull off soft and pretty…
Now Monique…Bitch disgusted me as soon as she opened her mouth with that woe is me speech and fake crying with not even a hint of damn water in her eyes! She is definitely trying to play off the sensitivity many African Americans have regarding complexion! SHe was not genuine at all and proceeded to show more of her true colors when she got in the house! She has a horrible attitude, and reminds me of one of those fake ass wanna be broads who acts like she’s the shit, when in reality she probably takes 2 minute showers at home twice a week….Then the bitch couldn’t even take a decent pic! Now she probably is one of if not the best looking girl in the house, but with a fucked up attitude like that, no one is going to root for her!

Last night’s show annoyed me, too, but Tyra, period, annoys me which is why I don’t watch her talk show. She is too self absorbed, everything winds up being about her. So far, ANTM was doing a good job of keeping the focus on the girls but last night was basically all about Tyra. If the show continues like this, I will stop watching. As you can tell, I’m not a Tyra fan. I admire how far she’s taking her career, she’s a very smart lady, but now she’s got the big head. Looking forward to this seasons show, I just hope this show doesn’t become the Tyra show Pt. 2.
Oh, and her hair was ridiculous (and I don’t mean that in a good way)!

I could not agree more with what you said about Monique. When she spilled water on the bed to “mark her territory”, I wanted to throw my control at the TV and rock her in the dome with it. My god, she is such a bitch, for lack of a better word!
You know what else I didn’t understand? Why were some of these girls having such a hard time with the poses? I just kept thinking throughout the whole show, Dang I should have been a model! I would have been working those poses. Espeically the diva one’s i.e. Melrose–the model that doesn’t get up for less than $10,000 a day. Please I would have ROCKED that shoot. Why you playin, I can act like that in real life, all I need is a reason, lol!
That girl Eugena is awful and I hope they provide her with some Proactive during her makeover. Those twins bug me, but even if they don’t win the competition I’m sure we’ll see them again on somebody’s runway. I love Jaeda, Megan, and AJ though. I’m pissed that they didn’t let Evita and Jaeslyn stay too. Lastly, Monique is the silliest bitch ever. She’ll be going home soon and we’ll find her next and last appearance in King magazine or something. I still say that Tyra is a joke trying to tell somebody else about modeling. Iman or Beverly Johnson should be on this show because those are some real pioneers in modeling.
This model is going to be white, or Anchal. Yall notice she does a white black pattern in choosing the top model? I think Anchal is going to win because she is beautiful and she is black nor white. It would be a change. Also, her beauty is stunning. She does look black though. I wonder how are they going to cho[ her hair off, cause I know they are.

Anchal is my favorite, I think she is beautiful and I love that she’s reppin the Indians. I don’t think she’ll win though because I don’t think her looks will go from commercial to high fashion and everything in between. Plus she doesn’t have that rail thin straight up and down body that many runway girls have, she actually has a little curvature and some breasts.
What grinds my gears is the girls who get all hyped up and upset about having to pose nude. While I do not know of any photos of Tyra where she is clearly posed nude, I do know that I have seen her on the runway with her chest out in see thru or other. ANTM has been on for SIX SEASONS LADIES!!! Nude photo shoots are NOT new to the show! Neither is chopping your hair off, we know that happens like every season. If you want to go out for ANTM, you have to ask yourself would you be willing to pose nude/cut your hair whatever way they want you to cut it before you mail in that picture/video/show up at open casting calls. Make the decision at home, don’t act surprised when they ask you to do it because it is not the first time they’ve told girls to pose nude. If I was trying to be a model and proud of the way my body looks, hell yeah I’ll strip down and work them extensions and hand/leg placements.
The twins are dead looking generally, but they definitely worked their respective poses, especially the bulimic one. They conveyed the emotion well and the pictures were pretty good.

People say she irritating and makes the show all about her but I dont see that, the girls on the show look up to her and want to be where she is. What i can say that i dont like is her Talk Show. She doesnt give the Audience enough time or chances to ask questions. Even when she does, she kinda cuts them short including the guests. I noticed some of their looks when she does it, they be like “WTF”.The only person that ever kinda put her in her place was Russell Simmons, she tried to cut him short like she does everyone else and he said “Hold UP MAN” never forget that coz she shut up and camera never showed her face. yea i agree # 17. A white girl or Anchal will definitely win this ANTM. She has to have some kind of a pattern with the winners in order to keep her ratings high and to have a well rounded audience. Plus none of the black girls are fierce enough in my opinion. The two she sent home were pretty, but they didn’t make it. Monique….her ass turned me off as soon as she hit the damn house.
