I agree with Jewel 13 because Golden’s character Mya always dresses fashionably on the show. Everybody looks nice tho. But I really think that the new show with Tia and Wendy Rachel will take the place of Girlfriends cuz Jill Marie is no longer on there. I remember they showed one episode of it a couple months back and it was pretty funny…or at least I liked it.

I can’t remember where I heard it, but I heard she wasn’t coming back whether CW picked them up or not. It was said that they might not get picked up so she decided early one that last season was her last with the show. I don’t think she will be coming back to have it out with Joan over missing her court date either…I don’t know, but I don’t know if I will be watching it just because she isn’t on…

I was elated when Danielle won but I don’t see much of her. As everyone knows, Eva seems to be the only one on her hustle.
@3 & 20, I totally agree. Girlfriends will not be the same without Jill Marie Jones’ Toni. Come on, her character brought the drama to the show. I don’t think I can stand a whole season of Joan whining about her love life. I am not going to be an avid watcher this season. I have a feeling that its the beginning of the end for the series anyway. I’d be surprise if the show stays on the air for two more seasons. I wish there was more quality programming on network TV geared towards middle class Black Americans.
You don’t even have to be middle class to appreciate Girlfriends. It was such a good show because you could related to the characters. Everybody knows somebody that fits those characters. One of my friends is certainly a combo of Joan and Toni, and some would say I am like Toni and Maya, and I do have a crazy friend like Lynn except my friend can keep a job. To bad the show is quickly approaching its end.
