Janet, on the other hand, has now been downgraded to the “I lost a lot of weight, let me talk about my sex life” role. MTV doesn’t show her videos, she isn’t getting any MAJOR magazine covers (about her album anyway) and her singles aren’t doing as well.
Not to mention, there is a rumor going around that they are banning her music over in England too.
I know we already touched on this awhile back, but this is really messed up. Justin needs to step up and show Janet some love, this isn’t fair and something needs to be done. I think its not Justin’s fault that her career has come down to “I lost weight, and let me talk about Jermaine. Janet took part in that stunt they pulled at the superbowl, so she is now suffering the consequences. Its not justins fault that nobody blamed him for it. Hi, I would just like to get a couple of things straight, as I’m from london. Janet is loved in the U.K, her music is not banned. When nipplegate happened, the british media discussed the event, but we did not go as far as to sabotage her career. America has taken the situation way out of control, wow, we saw a nipple, big deal.

First of all: yes, JT was wrong for how he handled the situation, however Janet isn’t blameless either. They both made mistakes, it happens. What’s foul is how the media has been treating her, that is NOT JT’s fault. Get over it.
As for him owing the hot songs to Pharell and Tim: so untrue. We could see his individual talent when he sang GONE acapella. The boy is gifted. And yes, he’s inspired by MJ (MJ appeared w/ NSync at an awards show remember?, practically every R&B singer is. Usher’s a great artist/entertainer and got much hype when CONFESSIONS came out and JT’s album hasn’t gotten close to all that coverage yet so this isn’t about race.
I loved Sexyback from the first time I heard it and out of the whole album there are only three tracks I don’t like, whereas I only like one track from Janet’s so far so I WILL NOT BUY A CD just because she is black and because of nipplegate. I spend money on cds that I like at least 85% of the tracks. With Janet, that hasn’t happened this time around (i have Design of a Decade, All for You, Velvet Rope…) but ths album I’m not feeling yet. That’s it.
Now as far as the Nipplegate thing: there is a lot more shocking things to see on t.v. then a nipple. EVERYONE including Janet, the public, the media, Justin need to get over it and move on!

I don’t think that the “wardrobe malfunction” had anything to do with either one of their music careers. True it didn’t help it, but listening to both of their music, Justin grabs my attention quicker than Janet. She just isn’t making music the way she used to. I wouldn’t call Justin a punk and I don’t think that he is avoiding the situation, I say he’s just moving on like everybody else should. And Janet just needs to step her game up some…she needs to hook up with Timbaland, Busta, or some body like that and get a tight record that’s all.
