Beyonce and Mama Knowles introduced their clothing line “House of Dereon” at Macy’s in Chicago yesterday, and quickly cut off the interview when the reporter asked some questions about the sizing of the clothes.
The reporter quoted a boutique owner who said she couldn’t get any of her customers to fit the clothing and Tina asked, Why would you do that, when this is supposed to be a positive thing.. The fakeness of the whole interview is so annoying to me. Beyonce just smiles and looks to her Mom for everything, and Tina had to re-do a one word slip up. It wasn’t even that serious. But whatever, watch the video for yourself.

I dont understand what was so negative about the question. It was an appropiate question and also a test to see if they truly real about what they saying. beyonce and tina need to address this issue immediately, and I agree that they should have taken the opportunity to do so during this interview. I have heard the same complaints about the clothing line. It would be a wise business move to provide larger sizes for those who obviously are anxious to by her clothing. $$$$$ hello-create another line-plus sizes-that would have been an opportunity to create a buzz/we are working on another line with larger sizes and we are currently looking for plus size models!!!

Her reaction caught on video is exactly what the reporter was looking for, I don’t blame her any good reporter should have asked that question, it is what the people want to know. They better hurry up and do damage control the media loves to build artists up and immediately tear them down.

I think the negative reaction may have been due to the fact that this is new for tina and beyonce and maybe her measurements are a bit off, “mistake” maybe and they went along with sending the clothes out because of all the hype or they had already committed to distributing the clothing and didn’t want to make anyone aware of the problem.
I don’t know I am just speculating, but on a personal level I know several times in college I would stay up all night and try and pass off a term paper as quality work and sometimes it would work and sometimes a professor would call me out and I would get all defensive, but I knew damn well they were telling the truth but I was trying to save face, why else would she not have a prepared statement to deal with the issue?

I live in Chitown and a reporter from Fox news local station 32 went on to say this morning that they were soo heated about what went down with the reporter from channel 2 that they almost cut off the interviews for other reports. She also stated that from that point on they were all warned to ask questions about the line and no personal questions about Bey’s personal life. The Fox news anchor also stated this morning that she had a copy of Bey’s Blender cover and showed it to Mmama Knowles and she rolled her eyes with displesure over the cover. You couldn’t ask for better drama than what being shown in Chicago over the past couple of days. Tonight is the Glamorama concert.
I think if your asking people to buy your clothing you should support it yourself by wearing it more than your typical photo ops and also be willing to defend the production issues.

Thanks Leenie..I majored in PR in college and worked in customer service. All of it is not rocket science. I believe if you cant handle the heat in that type of business than you need to get a spokesperson to be with you 24/7 and speak on your behalf. Reporters are there to report news and anything that smell like news. I cant fault the reporter. She was doing her job. People want to buy your clothes but they cant because of size issues. First and for most I watched the video and I went the HOD website and those clothes are not for us. The shirts are $140 and up (unless its a tank top and its $40) and the jeans are all around $140 and $150, same as the shoes and the purses!
