But I think its par for the production course. Its the evolution of a product/brand. You design, you impliment and you modify. You can never excpect that 100% of what you take to market will never evolve and change. You may even abandom it altogether.

I think Tina is conflicted in a way. Dereon is a mid to high end brand. High end from a prue demographic perspective doesn’t automatically denote Black, unless you target race and location and income ie NYC, ATL, DC, etc).

I don’t think she’s thought about and articulated who this label is for. I have friends who rave about their jeans, but some of the fit is by pure luck. I think she’s scared to admit that when you go plus size (and high end plus size is sometimes size 12 and up)you also lose status and prestige from the industry.

I think she needs to go back the marketing plan board.

Also I don’t feel like she’s deeply committed to this company. B and she are the face. But I don’t feel like she slaving away with the concepts–cause she wouldn’t take a fair question as some type of diss on the street or personal attack.

I remember a while back, there was a story about Foxy Brown wanting to develop a line of expensive furs. I’d like to say that Puffy or Jay (not certain) advised her to design for the masses, not for the elite.

While we can’t say exactly what would’ve happened if we had been in that situation that Tina was in, I think it’s fair to say that many of us have been caught in a situation where someone has asked us a question in a professional setting that has caught us off guard. I do think Tina could’ve handled it much better than that. No one was asking her if they use fur in their line or any other controversial question. It is her line so she should answer for it. On Oprah didn’t they say the sizes went up to 10 or 12? Well Whatever it’s always an issue but I agree with u Samantha that would have been right on target, eventhough it was a Clothing Line Launch, & normally those type of issues’s aren’t addressed, They could have said that they were aware of the problem, & are on top of fixin it & Kept it movin, instead Tina acts like a bitch, & B like a girl with no voice. B needs to be more vocal, & Mama Knowles needs to calm down actin like she was so offended, cuz they surprised her ass with that statement

I’m trying to figure out why her mom wears HOD when she knows those damn clothes don’t come in her size. They are full of it!

I’ve always said that B wasn’t real. She carries herself great in the eyes of the media but that’s not who she really is. And Tina has to constantly be there to battle the hard questions and put people in their place because Beyonce can’t do it for herself…HOD is not for every woman…Hell even Tina had to lose weight to get in it! And it’s weird because you rarely see them wearing it. I’m so sick of the two of them…It’s overkill now.
