That’s how you sell cd’s! Because I surely wasn’t really feelin’ this song on the radio and I’m still not, but a fab performance like that and her voice sounding real good definitely grants her a bit more respect on this piece.
I’ve ALWAYS been a Monica fan. I do think she is a tad bit thin, but she’s always been a small girl. Monica is that pretty, ghetto homegirl you take with you when you wanna key some cars or flatten some tires. The wig was definetly a great choice cause I am NOT feeling that blond doo-hicky she has on in the video. It look’s as if they didn’t have time to finish her hair.
SUNSHYNE…What do you want the girl to do? She is naturally thin. We can’t and don’t all want to be like Beyonce for the lack of a better example. Give the girl a break. I thought she looked beautiful. Not too much make-up and an understated outfit. I loved it.
I love Monica she is one of the few females that can actually sing. It was a good performance. Also she can not help that she is so skinny, some people just can not gain weight.

The song started to grow on me but after this HOT performance I’m hooked on it. Her voice is so natural and beautiful, she was full of energy and looked great. I am buying two copies of her album. She really needs to do good with this album or else Monica may never come back. So instead of talking about her support her album b/c I heard the tracks and they are hot to death, most or midtempo or ballads and you can relate to them. I loved this performance and her personality, she is so real. So everybody support Monica on Tues. and purchase that album.

Now that’s the first time in a long time that i have watched a 106th and park clip and felt like the person looked good, had fun and SOUNDED good! Monica needs her time to shine…she can actually sing. Loved it!

Let me speak on Monica for a moment. I like Monica – but that is about it. Musically, Monica has been in the game to long to still not have seal her position in the game. She put her all into that first cd but the the two that followed were not to up to standards. Monica has one of the sickest vocal runs in the game. I need for her to use it. We have enough chicks in the game that get away with not singing. I am not feeling the 1st single. I can’t defend her just because I am from Atlanta too. It is what it is.

I love the fact Monica is so down-to-earth. There’s nothing fake or “Hollywood” about her. She’s a very “real” person,who happens to be in the business,she seems very approachable. I have grown to love the song! She has a beautiful smooth voice. Good luck to her.She will always have success,because of her personality alone and the fact she has talent makes even better for her!
Ohmigosh I loved it. She is so blessed with her voice wow and this isn’t even a ballad. She managed to make a simple snap song soulful, that is testimony to her as a singer.
Seeing her perform it I understand what she wanted -a clean, happy song that young ppl could dance to and enjoy.
Oh and I prefer the darker hair color on her.
She wasn’t choreographed but was still dancing quite a bit and her voice was more together than a lot of ppl that perform on 106th. with a backing track.

Blame Dallas Austin coke habit for Monica having “not-so-good songs” on her LP’s for the past couple of years. She just needs better writers. Not saying she should stop writing herself, just when & if she does get other writers they should pick some good ones. Hell! Let Alicia Key’s throw in a song or two. Because she is definitely hott with two T’s, but the song quality can be better. Not vocal wise, just construction wise.

Monica did a phone interview with my hometown radio station and she is sooo real.They were asking her about Jonesy and she was saying how she was pissed and jonesy jealous of young black female artist and how it annoys her. Also they talked about how jonesy dissed her weight and how fat jonesy is. She dosn’t hold anything back! Anyways Monica can def. sing and why does it seem like every singer has to be thick. Cant everybody look like beyonce, everybody’s different.
