Monica did good, she can sing very well.
To the poster who brought up LeToya going to Number 1, there have been plenty of R&B singer before her who were wack as hell to do so as well, but you just had to mention LeToya. LeToya’s fan took her to number 1, if you love Monica so much, stop downloading and go PURCHASE her CD to help get her to number 1. I know I’ll be BUYING the CD.

GO MONICA! I have been down with her since the feud between her and brandy lol. Even before that when “just one of them days” was popping the charts. That woman can and always have been able to saaaaaang not sing (got to take it ghetto), but sang her a$$ off period. She ranks up there with old Whitney(before crack killed her voice) and Mariah in my opinion. I will be buying that album, and I never buy albums never! However, hers and janet’s I will cop.

I’ve been a Mo fan since she first came out when I was 13, so I would probably qualify as a SheStan, lol But on the real Monica’s voice is golden period! She sounds just like the record, I love it! But let’s not get it twisted, Monica has NEVER had an album that didn’t go #1, yeah the third one only went platinum not multi like the previous two, but it still went #1. And who said everyone had to be or wants to be thick?!? I could see if she just got that small then that would be a different issue but she’s been that skinny all her life… at least she doesn’t have to worry that since she’s borderline her first kid is gonna push her past the thick boundaries on to the other side! # 62 I said what I said and I meant it, if you don’t agree then don’t comment. I don’t burn cd’s period. I buy all my albums b/c I like the covers, reading the Thank You’s and I like to support artist. Why would I burn something that only cost 9.99 damn I aint broke. I am actually buying 2 copies of Monica’s album, I bought Letoya’s album the first day it dropped too. But Letoya also has some crazy die hard fans that were buying her album by the bulk. And I’m not sure if Monica has those same fans. I will buy two but can’t do no more than that. Monica killed this performance, she is cool and down to earth and deserves the # 1 album.
I like her voice and her hair.

But, anyway, it’s good to see her back out with something new.

have ppl been under rocks for the past 10-12 yrs. when has monica ever been thick, fat or not skinny? please give her weight a rest. she cannot help that. she is a healthy slim young lady.
and she doesnt have on a wig. that is just a very good/expensive weave. something many ladies on here aren’t used to.
and brandy has never been or will she ever be a threat to monica. so monica didnt release her album b/c brandy is not out. please. the brandy monica thing is sooooo 1998. almost 10!!!!!!! years ago. hell, none of brandy’s albums went to #1, and her last 2 barely went platinum. but that doesnt matter cause even if u sell 10 million albums, artists do not make any real money from album sales. it just looks good on a musical resume to have platinum albums.

Age shouldn’t limit Monica when it comes to her music.She isn’t 14 anymore no but she isn’t 40 either so whoever was saying she shouldn’t be doing snap music in reference to her age should step back and take a look and some of the other people doing snap music.Half of them are older than Monica I don’t care if it’s one year the fact is they are older and doing it and no one is saying anything about them.We are sometimes so closed minded,we get used to the way singers used to be and when they try something new and we aren’t comfortable with it,it’s just so wrong.Some of us really have some growing to do,and I think now is the time to start.
Monica has always been one of my favorite singers..we were about the same age when Just One of Dem Days came out…I do agree she should have a better position in the game if only because of her longevity in it, but she one of the best singers of this generation and she has gone through a lot of drama that Beyonce and others haven’t gone through.
