STAR JONES IS READY FOR WAR
In the newest issue of the National Enquirer, they claim Al Reynolds left Star for a man, and she is heated! Star Jones has given the National Enquirer an ultimatum: either admit that a story calling her marriage a “sham” is untrue, or prepare to do battle in court.
Brad Zeifman, a rep for the couple, issued the following statement:
“Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds have tried to handle these vicious lies and attempts at character assassination with quiet dignity for far too long…now they will pursue immediate legal action against anyone who makes false statements about their family.” [SOURCE]
In a recent interview with Jawn Murray of AOL’s Black Voices, Star stressed,
“I love my husband and he loves and respects me-period! People can say what they want, but Al and I share what I like to call an unbreakable bond.” Star reminds the public that, “It’s not easy being under such intense scrutiny by the media. All we’re trying to do is live our lives as Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds.” [SOURCE]
Sometimes I forget that Star Jones was/is a lawyer, so it makes sense for her to try and take some action.
JALEEL TALKS ABOUT HIS INTERNET DEATH
For the past year and a half, rumors about Jaleel White commiting suicide was plastered all over the net. Check out what he has to say about them..
It was incredibly annoying. What can I say, the Internet is the land of the great sucker punch. It’s just unfortunate that people can do that to you and kind of hide behind anonymous names.
To this day, the 29-year-old has no idea who was behind the Internet prank – “probably some Internet geeks” White believes – but he says there was one positive aspect to come out of the experience.
I really discovered just how many people’s lives I’ve been able to touch, because my cell phone just blew up for the entire month of June,” he says. “Even though it was for a negative reason, it was very beautiful to see that.
The UCLA grad says he’s still very much alive and doing quite well these days.
My life is terrific, I have two loving parents, I have great friends, I live in the Santa Monica area of Calif., I’m a college graduate, I continue to work, make money and earn a living…” he says.
White says he’s been busy making his paper as a screenwriter and just finished working on a pilot, not to mention two movies this year.

Tower Records started selling the album @ midnight and boy oh boy, why did it feel like I was waiting in line @ a concert. There were so many people in line to purchase that album. LOL! It was well worth the wait. This album is the business.
I got that Janet Cd this morning….still listening to it at school so I will have to get at yall later on how I feel about it, so far so good. I will say that her packaging is off the hook, it comes with a DVD and all…very nice. But for the cheap people it was $18.00! Don’t know if it is because I got a Special Edition or not!

Yea Dannie. You got the special edition. The regular version is only 9.99. Im getting the special edition as well and 2 reg ones for the 2 fan covers I like. I been lisening to it my whole ride to work since i pre ordered album on itunes and dl it this morning. On my lunch ill get 2 more and I think i need to go to target for another because you get a code with the cd for advanced release concert tickets for the 20 Y.O. Tour. THE CD IS DEFINATELY TIMELESS. My fav tracks are WITH YOU ( such an infectous breezy ballad), ENJOY (a classic, what else can I say?), SHOW ME (full out dance track), DO IT 2 ME ( a definate single), DAYBREAK ( a whimsical melody), and the bonus track ROLL WITCHU (just fire). Damn. I just realized I like the wole cd LOL. Worth the purchase.
Janet looks great but the music is not. I heard the album. It’s okay – nothing to write home about.

I Listened to Janet’s album and I truly enjoyed it. I’m headed out now to get my 2 copies. And for the person who said why waist your money on a rich celeb…Can you please let me know when Luda was in the poor house. I am not hatin on Janet I am just stating the obvious that it takes two to tango not just one. Say what you want about Justin and Beyonce but each sold over half a million in their first week out….something I HIGHLY doubt Janet will do. I give her 200,000 her first week tops. Here’s why..this album totally alienates her true fans. I like that Janet Jackson of ol’, the Rhythm Nation pleasure principle Janet. Hell I will even settle for Velvet Rope Janet. And don’t say don’t compare it to Beyonce’s album because guess what…Janet is competing with Beyonce’s album, just like she is competing with her in this business.
Now I am just like the rest of you, Janet is 40 who cares, Patti is over 60 and still doing her thang. I am just tired of artist like Janet & Mariah trying to keep up instead of being different and innovative. I really was rooting for Mariah in the beginning but then she tricked me because she only kept up that facade until she went platinum and then she was back to her ol’ foolywang self again. Same with Janet, I want her to come out on top but reinvent don’t do what everyone else is doing. The Janet I know wouldn’t let someone like Beyonce or Ciara come and take her shine, but noooo what does this Janet do….she lets JD put his touch all on it and it turned into crapola. I really thought this album was going to be dope and then a minute into listening to the album I hear JD’s damn voice saying “Whut u talkin’ bout shawty” and I knew it was downhill from there. Had she stuck with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis through this whole album then I would definetely be singing a different tune. However, she didn’t and I am going to sing this tune I am singing as loud as I can. So to #60 & #61 stop hatin’ on ME because I am speaking my mind. It’s just an opinion and if you don’t like it you know what you can do with it!

I’m listening to the JJ album again and I hear a few cuts so I’m not mad…Can I work out to it? That’s all I need….I think she had her peak moments with Janet. and “Velvet Rope” so if she comes with something good, I’m not even mad if it’s not great. I haven’t heard a GREAT album all year…maybe even in a few years. So at this point, I’ll settle for “good.” But if someone could burst out with a classic, that would be nice….

I hope that they are pretty good…some of my co-workers already got both albums and I’ve heard mixed reviews.
The summary of both albums based on popular opinion are the following:
Luda- good but its different from his usual material…
Janet- much better than Damita Jo and a decent buy…
Soooo I got both…they are on sale this week so I figured why the hell not.
i downloaded luda’s cd off of itunes this morning… (midnight actually) it is GRRREAT
and yes luda’s cd is different from his usual stuff, but hey you can’t do club songs forever, can the man be versatile?

Janet was stupid to release Call On Me as the first single! I hated that song so much that i thought the whole album would be garbage then I heard So Excited so I figured I’d go to itunes to check out the other tracks. I love Do It To me and Show Me and as a whole this album is REALLY GOOD: I feel like the old Janet is back. I usually just dl from itunes, but I think i’ll actually go get the physical cd today. Very surprised. Pleasantly so
