“Throw some D’s” stands for DUBS down here in the south…the song is definitely heating up the airwaves down here (I’ve heard it here in Florida and in Atl a lot lately)…I agree that the whole “rims and ho’s” theme is played out in the industry, however Rich Boy’s style of flow is very unique and different from most other rappers out today. Maybe I’m a bit biased being that I am FROM Mobile and the hood he represents. He definitely isnt Tupac (wth was THAT comment about??), but its definitely NOT “southern trash”. Plus, the beat is BANGIN!!

Okay I’m sure that at 30 I’m too old to be posting comments on things like this. And I’m damned sure not supposed to do this at work. But I’m from Mobile, AL living in the DC area and I just wanted to weigh in on this debate. First of all I want to say that the lyrics to this song lack any socially redeeming value and even though I’m from Mobile I can hardly understand a word he’s saying. That being said this song is TIGHT!!! I love his chopped up lyrical flow and the beat is completely addictive. I agreed with someone’s comment that you should not rely on hip hop to get your education. Music like this is just meant to ride and party to. Nothing more. I’m growing out of the target market for music like this so most of the stuff that comes out now sounds like complete and total garbage to me.
