I recently spoken with jazmine and i just found out that neither Jazmine, Beyonce, nor Victoria wrote the song. The song was oringinally written by an artist back in the day ( I will be sure to post her name the next time i log on).

What happen was jazmine recored a version of the song, and i guess Beyonce and Victoria liked her version, and they recored a version similiar to jazmines.

i know that this isn’t a boxing match and everyone’s is entitled to they’re own opinion. The song is a beautiful song all together.My heart isn’t broken and i felt all emotional inside. When i first heard it, it was off of B-day.I went online to download it and i seen all these comments about who sung it better, Vikki or B, Beyonce got it by a long shot. She made me want to cry when i heard the song like she put her heart and soul in the song(like always),which is what the song needs…soul. If you don’t like B, that’s all good and gravy but dawg she got them vocals on lock.Today was my first time hearing Jasmine’s also i can see the comp between them two, But I don’t too much like Vikki’s version..And if the credit was so much of an issue there would be people sueing up the a**, so if they’re not getting rawled up neither should you.

I love jazzy! vocally she is a monster! Sick wit it! Music is dying for jazzy to break through the industry walls! As far as “B” Goes, she is sick but we heard it all befor, on her vocals she is not givin us anything knew. same harmonies, hooks, runs. but when she gets on stage, she is a beast. The girl is bad. but over all on this song and vocals Jazzy Hands down. And the spice girl who cares!

I don’t post much, but A. I have lots of Victoria’s Song and she can sing, she is no Mariah or Debelah Morgan. I think going up against r&b vocals she did a beautiful job.

All the girls did the a great job.

Beyonce has great talent but she isn’t the best vocal out there, she just happens to follow the trend which is skin baring, If Debelah Morgan sold out her morals like jessica simpson and beyonce she’d be recording the emancipation of Debelah and not Mariah because here range is that of Mariah, Minnie Rippleton, Denise Williams.

Victoria Beckham did something different, she gave you something subtle, something you have to engage with to feel it’s weight. The other versions were good, especially Jasmine’s (Beyonce has major talent but any one of her songs is starting to sound pretty much like any other), but I’m glad I downloaded Victoria’s. Respect to all opinions, including those that hated Victoria’s, but seriously, why bother posting if you’re not gonna download all the versions, or listen to them in the way the singer intended?

As much as everyone’s comments could be true, it is common knowledge that Beyonce has been writing songs since she was very young. The furthest back I could trace this song being recorded was 2003. Beyonce may have written the song a few years ago and Victoria Beckam and Jazmine Sullivan just took it and recorded it.( That makes the MOST since.)

We all know Jazzy wrote the song (& sang it best IN MY OPINION).. Beyonce is a beast but she admitted to allowing many others some creative input on this album and Jazzy is just one of those people. i think that the song most definately sounds different when performed by each of them. ive never been too keen on victoria’s attempts at ’singing’ but i must say i was pleasantly surprised when i heard her version. she did her best and for what its worth it was classy.

beyonce, to me, has always been and will always be one of the most overrated people in the music industry. she openly allows herself to be pimped by her parents, her pr agency and even her man for monetry gain but when i hear he sings songs like this, i see a glimmer of hope for the respectable and revered singer and performer that i would prefer her to be. as far as im concerened anybody with the capabilities to project emotion in a song like the way she has, has absolutely no need to be shakin her ass n bending over on GQ magazine covers like a common vide-hoe. britney spears - definately, but not beyonce. in that respect, she could take a leaf out of victorias less talentled but slightly more classy book.

jazzy; my gurl through and through. ive been hearing about this girl for so long and every year i wait for her to break through, but she never does. her voice is beyond soulful and although she doesnt manage to evoke the emotions that beyonce did, she stays away from the one thing that hacks me off so majorly about beyonce; she didnt oversing and adlib the song to death.

Clearly Beyonce deserves a writing credit because she changed the lyrics and made it more personal. Plus when this album came out she clearly stated that this was a colaboration of many writers and many producers. She helped write most of the songs. She never took full credit for writing the complete album she always stated that it was a colaboration and Beyonce’s version was the best ofcourse!!!! Beyonce sings her heart out on this song. I LOVEEEEEE Jazmine’s version. BUT those harmonies in Beyonce’s versions are out of this word. And Beyonce gets FARRRR more virtuosic with the singing. She adds a WHOLE bunch of power, strength, and range. She’s a better technical singer than Jazmine obviously, but Jazmine has more soul. But again those harmonies in Beyonce’s version are nuts lol. Well Victoria wrote the song because of the alleged affair that her husband had, makes more sense that she wrote the song and besides, her’s has more emotion based on the fact she went through the experience, not Beyonce and not Jazmine. I overheard this song playing in my daughters room constantly. I had NO CLUE who sang it or what the name of the song was. Everytime I heard it I found myself liking it more and more purely off the emotion and the delivery of the song. I finally asked my daughter who sang the song and she told me beyonce. I’ve loved Beyonce since Destiny’s Child. But honestly, this song has 2 go 2 Jazmine. Her voice is so sultry and perfect for this song. Beyonce’s voice is much too powerful for this type of song because her voice keeps overlapping itself and it’s just way 2 much. Besides, she doesn’t bring anything new to the song other than what she gives every other song she sings. When i first heard resentment, it was by Beyonce after I bought her album. I didn’t really connect to the song as much as the others. Then I heard that the song had been written for Jazmine Sullivan who I had never heard of. It was FLAWLESS!!!
