We, in the US, might think that two men kissing on the mouth is gay and weird [especially by those who proclaim to be heterosexual, and the was they prove that is buy poppin Moet and pouring it all over ass shakin women] but it may not be so weird in other countries. For example, my ex boyfriend was Egyptian. Consider how homophobic Arabic and Muslim people are made out to be, the men in Egypt are extremely close with one another.

Egyptian men may not kiss on the mouth, not that I know of, but they do kiss on the cheek quite a lot, and they also link arms while walking down the street. At social gathering, the women are not allowed to dance. They are put in a seperate room with all the men dance together, shaking their hips and holding each other.

This might seem weird to us, but to certain Egyptians, this is the normal. We should not be so quick to judge.

I must say different strokes for different folks (no pun intended). Just accept people express affection differently. My fiancee is Puerto Rican and he (and his family) are very hands-y and kissy-kissy poo. That’s their culture. Whereas I was raised to be more reserved. But, I’m beginning to dig it. They are very in touch with their emotions (happiness, sadness, etc) and aren’t afraid to express them. Generally speaking, I think non-hispanic blacks could learn a lot from them. It’s healthy.
