My homie Taj Washington is looking for some models for his upcoming shoot. You can check out some of his photography above or on his website. Please read the following:
I am a New York City based photographer that will be shooting in Upper Manhattan on Saturday, 11/4/06. The purpose for this shoot is for the photos to be used as submissions to urban magazines. While there is no pay for this shoot, whomever gets chosen and participates in the shoot will receive magazine tears as they appear in the magazine, a separate individual photo shoot at a later date, and the possibility to collaborate again on future projects. There will be single shots as well as various shots of the models interacting with one another, as I am creating a storyline with these photos. All clothing, hair and make-up will be provided by my team and me. All ethnicities are welcome.
Please note that all models must show valid photo ID when they arrive at the shoot, as well as sign a Model Release Form.
I am looking for the following:
MEN
5’10” – 6’3”
31 – 34 waist
18-25 years old
WOMEN
5’8” – 6’0”
Size 4 – 6
18-25 years old

yeah, i get your point. there are alot of short cute guys, but there are some FINE tall men! lol i’m around 5’3 and i dated a guy who was 6’2. let just say it was uncomfortable. i literally felt like a little girl next to him.

5’8″ – 6′ is common for women who live in NY and Caliornia. Most women who want to become models move to those two places. Walk around Soho on even given day and 80% of the women out will meet those requirements.
But looking for a woman with those numbers on this site is pure comedy.

I thank everyone for their interest in wanting to work with me. However, I have been noticing that people are calling me and not thoroughly READING the casting call. Why is it that everyone that is between 5’0″ and 5’4″ feel the need to be offended because I want people 5’8″ and up? I am going by industry standards. I didn’t make the rules.
Also, the reason I put the height limit at 6’3″ for men was because the stylists for the shoot has labels from various urban designers which would not fit someone who is that tall.
Also, why are people going of topic and using this as a hook-up forum for their kids?!?!?
And one more thing, I should have specified that this casting is only open to people in the the NY Metropolitan and surrounding areas, as well as NJ, and CT. Why am I getting calls from people in Missouri and Canada?
Also, you are responsible for your own transportation. I do not provide Metrocards and/or Livery cabs. In any case, I look forward to meeting with all of you that are truly serious about getting some great shots and possible tearsheets. And I wish everyone the best in their future endeavors.
