Anybody remember Sheneneh from Martin? I thought that was a made up character until I came to the US and met people who actually acted like that…..thank G I didn’t expect it cause I would have offended a lot of people. U have to admit the ‘acting’ on the show was convincing. However, FOL is not to be blamed….this stems from all the other things in society that we let slide as black people regarding the depiction of ourselves. For example, the term ‘acting white’ that we use on one another…never got that. Sorry to say, but watching some grade school and high school kids, it’s not going to stop next generation.
