The first person that popped into my head is TRICK DADDY. I hardly ever hear from Trick anymore. He has a nice house and nice cars in Miami, but he hasn’t been putting out any great-selling records lately. His rap career is basically over.
But I also thought it could be Petey Pablo and Lil’ Flip. Petey Pablo is in the same predicament as Trick Daddy, and Lil’ Flip definitely wants to come off as “the ladies’ man”.

It is definitely not Cee-Lo. Cee-Lo gets that real behind the scenes money for writing and producing for some of the largest international acts….like Santana (which went diamond). He gets a lot of royalties every quarter from stuff like that. A lot of songs that he writes and produces, you don’t even know that it was from his creative mind. For instance, the big smash from The Pussy Cat Dolls. Also, he is one of the members of Gnarls Barkley and they just went platinum here in the US and were already platinum overseas.
I will just sum it up by saying it could be anyone of the southern rappers except Outkast, TI, Jeezy, Scarface and Trick Daddy. All southern acts may have hits for the radio, but they don’t sell at all. Look at D4L….they had 2 smash hits on the radio and they only sold like 100,000. You split all of that money up between the group after they pay the record company back for advances and each member is left with $0.
