BLIND ITEM OF THE DAY

By: Myra Panache

This struggling couple had a plan. A black male turned to his Asian girlfriend and said, ‘a big payday may be on the horizon.’

Earlier, he had met a black female singer at a industry event and the chemistry was instant. The girlfriend became jealous when he spoke of her, but he was able to convince her, ‘let me run this game, don’t worry, it won’t mean nothing, it’s all about the money for us.’ She reluctantly agreed.

He started dating the black female singer on the side. With the little money he had, he took her to dinner and bought her a few trinkets.

He came to enjoy the time he spent with her and looked forward to it. He would soon realize, the singer didn’t have the type of money he thought. Over time, it didn’t matter, because he had fallen in love with her.

He kicked the Asian girl to the curb. She became furious and threatened to expose his true intentions. He threatened her with violence and she backed off.

This man would eventually marry the singer and they are living happily ever after.

Hint: The singer is “NOT” Mary J. Blige.

    This is a tricky one…

  2. GirlBlue

    My first thought was MJB…I’m thinking Kenny Latimore

  3. GirlBlue

    was his egg shell head..LMAO!

  4. NewNubianEmpress

    It’s Lil Mo!

    She met a man, he took her out, they wined and dined, they got engaged, got married the next day in her house and she had her dress overnighted via UPS from Macy’s ($99 so she brought 2—dumbass)…she got found out she was pregnant on Christmas Eve/Day—she felt like it was a gift (aww)—they are still married and they have a daughter named Heaven.

    ***She also admitted that his ex kept harrassing her and even one day called her up on the radio station to tell her that her man was WITH HER and didnt Love her….Mo’s response: Kool, tell him I said wassup (LMAO)….

    Source: Sister 2 Sister/Essence w/ Lil’mo as the cover girl.

  5. NewNubianEmpress

    bought 2*…and sent out invitations via e-mail AND via personal calls….up til 2 in the AM b4 the wedding.

    Also, at that time, it looked like she was well on her way to being a decent star and making REAL good money…she had 2 hits out wit Fab..she had her own hit out…and she sang the hook on Ja’s SMASH hit…Put it On Me.

    ***I personally think she fucked it up by coming out with that “why” re-make of Jada Kiss’ song!

    ~~~~I wonder if M.Panache will let this cat out of the bag with a name…she did it for Teddy Riley and His wife….see the blind item about the guy who married his wife after meeting on Myspace.
  6. Lilly
    NewNubianEmpress:
    Thanks….well that one got solved quickly…lol…
  7. Lilly
    NewNubianEmpress:
    Girl/Boy, you seem like you in the know….what else you got?
  8. GirlBlue
    Lil Mo sounds like a fit for this blind item…I like her voice but she just had bad marketing and not enough great producers…waste…
  9. Thanks New Nubian Empress!!
    I was just telling my brother Meatloaf about you yesterday….
    How smart you are, and very clever with your wordplay…
    :)
    Lil Mo may not be the brightest light bulb in bunch, but she sure can sing!!!
    She does a remake of the Clark Sisters Classic
    Endow me, and she can really Blow!!
    Endow Me Features Fantasia, Faith Evans, Coco (from SWV) and Lil Mo..
    Those girls do remake justice!!
  10. FlyGemini
    I’m not sure it’s Lil’ Mo…her and hubby ain’t exactly “happily ever after”. If they haven’t already, they were on their way to divorcing…that’s what that interview in Sister 2 Sister was about….
  11. BashyBoo
    UM WHICH PART OF THIS IS LIL MO CONSIDERING SHE SAID ON THE RADIO THAT SHE IS GETTING A DIVORCE?? IM NOT THE ONLY WHO HEARD THAT EITHER…
  12. GirlBlue
    Bill, you still pushing that plug for Endow Me…are you well endowed? LOL! I think I need Jesus.
  13. BashyBoo
    AND SHE HAS 2 DAUGHTERS HEAVEN AND GODDISLOVE GOD IS LOVE HOWEVER U SPELL IT
  14. NY-Biish
    ITS RUSSEL SIMMONS …..KIMORA LEE IS ASIAN THEY GET MONEY.,..AND HE KICKED HER ASS TO THE CURB…BUT THERE STILL TOGETHER BECAUSE OF THEIR DAUGHTERS.
    RUSSEL SIMMONS.
  15. 1. How can it be Lil Mo if she’s divorced (or getting a divorce)? That’s living happily ever after.
    2. How can it be Russell Simmons? It says the dude married the black singer….He’s still married to Kimora! She’s not his girlfriend.
    3. Reading is fundamental.
  16. Kim
    I can’t be Russel Simmons cause they’re rich together or apart!
  17. TRENA DEAN
    ITS KENNY LATTIMORE!!
    BUT CAN ANYONE FIND A PICTURE OF HIM AND THE ASIAN??
  18. #16, it said he had little money when he started dating, Russell was nowhere near broke when he got with Kimora.
    I have no clue, MJB seemed like the obvious choice because Kendu was a up and coming producer and probably thought he could never get her. But according to Myra it’s not her, so damn if I know.
  19. Waddie G.
    My guess is Shanice or Monica
    LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YES IT IS LMAOOOOOOOOO THIS IS A GOOD ASS LAUGH FOR THE MORNING WHEN I SHOULD BE DOING SOME WORK…
  21. GirlBlue
    Kenny Latimnore and I’m sticking to it. LOL at R.I.F. comment…
  22. Dave D
    Lil Mo is not married anymore. Kenny Latmore had money before he got married to Chante Moore. Please make educated guess.
  23. Chelly
    How can it be Kenny Latimore and he’s a singer himself?
    Lil’ Mo discusses marriage, family and her upcoming divorce March 2006
    When a couple gets married, they almost never plan to get divorced. The same is certainly true for Al Stone and his wife, Cynthia Loving. We know Cynthia better as R&B singer Lil’ Mo. Now that Lil’ Mo’s four-year marriage, which produced daughters Heaven and God’Iss Love, is coming to a sad end, how is Mo coping? In a heartfelt talk with Jamie, she reflects on love, losing the man she married, and starting over. Listen in as Jamie and Mo testify:
    Jamie: Are you okay? I’m hearing you’re getting a divorce. Are you?
    Lil’ Mo: Yeah, I am.
    Jamie: We were in love!
    Lil’ Mo: I know.
    Jamie: What’s going on? Can I offer you all a marriage counselor please? Everybody, Countess Vaughn is getting one, too, then LisaRaye’s wedding is called off….
    Lil’ Mo: That’s what everybody?Laila Ali, Gabrielle Union, Eddie Murphy. I told my mom?I said, ?Ma what’s going on with the world today?” She said that means it’s the end of the times. I mean, I tried everything and it’s just a mess. It’s really a mess.
    Jamie: You were with him for a while, weren’t you?
    Lil’ Mo: Four years.
    Jamie: That’s not a long time, though.
    Lil’ Mo: No, we knew each other for five months when we got married.
    Jamie: Five months?
    Lil’ Mo: Yeah [laughs].
    Jamie: So, what do you think was wrong between the two of you? You got married too quickly or what? Was there too much outside pressure? I’m really hurt behind this.
    Lil’ Mo: I mean, I am too, because I’m an advocate for family. My mother and father have been married for like 29 years, so you know I was trying to beat their record at least. But it’s just…I didn’t trust him, he don’t respect me, he has other kids and he lets his babymothers disrespect me…. One of them I’m cool with, the other one is disrespectful. I don’t talk to his parents; I don’t have no relationship with his family. They don’t come to see my kids, they don’t help out; it’s just a mess. And because we didn’t really know each other, it was like we were kind of trying to learn each other and I guess he don’t understand the nature of the [music] business and that certain things, me as a woman, I personally need, you know? Even what I’m going through with the record label, he’s just nonsupportive. And I guess he tried his best but it just wasn’t good enough. I didn’t set a certain standard.
    I’m not saying he’s a bad dude. He’s a good father but he was a bad husband, which made me not a good wife. And I honestly filed because I said I wasn’t being a wife. I was really wildin’ out and I said this ain’t a good look, especially with my parents being pastors. And I said nah, I’ve just gotta make it right, and that was the only thing I could think of to come with because we’ve tried working it out and every time we try to work it out, then there’s another baby and more drama, so?.
    Jamie: How does he feel about this?
    Lil’ Mo: I mean, he called me yesterday, started some mess: ?Oh, I’m gonna fight for my kids in court.” And this man, he wants me to pay off all his bills that he’s got…cars. To me, he’s doing trifling things like how, usually, babymothers act toward the babyfathers. I mean, it was kind of expected and my lawyer told me to watch out for certain things, so I just think it’s best for my sanity and for my happiness, ’cause the first two years I was cool, the last two years I wasn’t happy.
    Jamie: Did you have a prenup at all?
    Lil’ Mo: Nope, so I had to do like a post-nup, which is, for Maryland, like a property settlement and a separation agreement. Trust me, he is like, ?Well, technically I could take this; and they-around-the-way said I could get half and I’m stupid” this and that. So I was like, ?You can have everything.” My dad was like, ?No he can’t!” But whatever he wants, he can have because I just want my kids. I can start from scratch; I don’t care.
    Jamie: What about Ja Rule? Are you still going through that [legal action] with Ja Rule? So you’ve got these two things on you now.
    Lil’ Mo: Yep, and the stuff with Cash Money. Album poster’s been out. I don’t know what’s going on.
    Jamie: I love that single, ?Spend It on Me.”
    Lil’ Mo: Thank you. Oh, I wish you could see me perform it live because we throw Kanye in that. Well, he doesn’t come out, but we add his song in it, ?Gold Digger.” That junk be so jammin’.
    Jamie: So listen: You were really happy for the first two years, but I find that my young babies, when you all get with somebody, it’s like, it’s all good, and we’re this, and we’re down, and the family, dadadada and it’s so intense at the beginning. It’s hard to get you all to screech and put on the brakes for a minute and say hold up.
    Lil’ Mo: And this is what I like about Brandy: Me and her have been talking and we’ve been, like, keeping each other uplifted. Also, I’ve been talking with Fantasia. I know she’s never been married but with her being a single parent, me and her, we encourage each other a lot. What I noticed about me and Brandy is we both grew up in family-oriented households. Both of our parents have been together for years, so that’s what we grew up around, that structure. But I think also with us is that we left home kind of early, trying to fly the nest and thinking, ?Well, I’m financially straight, so my mama tried to do this…,” when we should have stayed home a little while longer?whether you’ve got money or not?I should have stayed home a little while longer and figured out how to be a woman, then turned into a lady, then turned into a wife. I did it backward. I was a wife, now I know what it is to be a woman, now I’m being more ladylike, like I’m more mature. This is when I should have been getting married. We always try to rush in. Only fools rush in. We tried to hurry up and get married, because I grew up in church and, you know, it’s better to marry than to burn [with lust], but yeah, if you ain’t even living right in your marriage, then you’re gonna burn anyway. So you know, it’s so many stipulations and stereotypes that are put on being a preacher’s kid, and with me growing up with both my parents, I always felt like, ?Well I just want to do the right thing like my mother.” But it didn’t happen like that for me.
    Jamie: I say it all the time: sex and violence, that’s what America does; we breastfeed our children on sex and violence. You all think about sex?I mean, Bille Woodruff, who’s a director, told me he heard a 3-year-old girl on TV saying that she wants to be sexy. At 3!! What the hell? Suppose Heaven said that to you?
    Lil’ Mo: You know what? It’s crazy…she said to me one day, ?Mommy, who’s gonna be my boyfriend,” and ?Who’s gonna kiss me?”
    Jamie: See, this is wrong.
    Lil’ Mo: Yeah, and she’s, honestly, with my mother most of the time because I’ve been on the road a lot. I just got off tour. But she watches the videos talk about ?shake that laffy taffy.” My mom said, ?You ain’t gonna be shakin’ nothing.” But that’s all they see, and it’s on everything.
  25. It’s not Lil Mo…isn’t she going through a divorce? Besides, I heard she’s dating Raheem Devaughn.
  26. Question???
    Kerri actually had money when he met Toni Braxton right? He’s actually the one who helped her financially right? Oh well, nevermind I got nothing!
  27. not again
    Damn this one is so difficult! I love the Blind Items!! Please keep them coming.
  28. GirlBlue
    Launch Pad McQuack?
  29. FlyGemini
    GirlBlue stop it! LMAO@ BB King!
  30. YEP, IT’S LIL MO. WHAT HAPPENED TO HER CD THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE COMING OUT THIS PAST SPRING? SHE IS ON SOME REAL LAUREN HILL SH%%%T.
  31. nolachic
    @ 28 The Toni Braxton idea is a good one to think about! She did steal Keri from some poor woman…
  32. Mrs. Johnson
    Faith Evans. It would seem she had a lot of money, but we now know she is broke. Her husband is not very famous, and he probably thought she had a lot money from Biggie’s estate. They are still together with baby #4 on the way. My guess is Faith Evans.
    She fits all the clues, including the fact that she’s not MJB, I think that was a hint as well.
  33. Mrs. Johnson
    FAITTH EVANS!!!
  34. #28…Keri definitely had money when he hooked up with Toni. Mint Condition was a successful group, still one of my favorites. #40 I forgot all about her…I think you’re right.
  35. Glad it’s not Mary though…I love her.
  36. IndustryInsider
    It’s Faith Evans.
    This is the first time that I’ve actually read a blind item that I’m absolutely sure of.
    If this is the kind of information she’s getting then Myra is on point.
  37. she-ra
    I guess Faith Evans as well. Todd Russaw probably thought she was a mark with all kinds of Biggie money coming in. And they are still together, through cocaine busts and rehab and all.
    You wrong Todd!!!!!!
    Read this Faith!
  38. Debbie
    Faith fits the description, fa sho!
  39. JANUARY 28–Meet Faith Evans. The 30-year-old R&B singer was arrested yesterday by Georgia police for drug possession. Evans, who was married to Christopher (Notorious B.I.G.) Wallace when the rapper was murdered in 1997, was nabbed following a routine traffic stop by Hapeville cops. When a search of the car turned up small amounts of marijuana and cocaine, EVANS AND HUSBAND TODD RUSSAW, A MUSIC EXECUTIVE,were carted off to the Fulton County Jail, where this mug shot of Evans was taken. The singer, who won a Grammy for “Missing You,” her 1997 tribute to B.I.G., is expected to post bond sometime today. (1 page)
    So, was this guy the MUSIC EXEC in need of $$$? If so, it is her!
  40. MissMonique
    I am new to this sight, just wondering do we ever get an answer to this or do we just keep guessing?
  41. #49MissMonique:
    We really don’t know, and for legal reasons they probably will never state the name or “significantly” identifable hints(unless it’s common knowledge). Therefore, the FUN is in the guessing and some of the crazy a@# stuff that people come up with in the process.
  42. ms_mac1
    Glad it’s not me!
  43. Khinje
    Hell yeah, I think it IS Faith Evans!!!
    LMBAO @ GIRL BLUE (at work- white folk staring at me and errything)!!!
    You had some pretty, um, uh, interesting guesses.
  44. Sean
    The blind Item said a black male, not a celeberty or one on the rise, this si a normal dude, so we are trying to figure at the female.
  45. nubian is right!! damn im loving it haha u better be the first person to comment on all the future blind items b/c all this guessing is noo fun, lol
  46. Whatever
    Waddie G, its not Shanice. Shanice and Flex didnt meet at any industry event. They met in their apartment complex on the elevator.
  47. I don’t KNOW enough about Lil’ Mo But Faith Evans sounds like a good guess to me… I’m sure a Money-Grubbing Negro WOULD think she has alot of money being she’s Biggie Widow w/ his child
    2bill… I haven’t heard that song but I will check it out ;-)
  48. CYNTHIA
    I think it is Faith Evans too. Cause she made it her point to let up know it was not Mary J.B.
  49. Alli'msayin...
    I luv me some CL!!! Now let me just play devil’s advocate for a minute…MJB Hubby Kendu & Faith’s hubby Todd…music execs??? Did anyone hear of these guys before the married these celebrities? Who did they produce? Is that a politically correct way of justifying marrying & taking care of a broke man? Oh yeah another bad example Britney Spears and Kevin…he was supposed to be a back up dancer when she met him. Anybody know who he dance for or with?
  50. Alli'msayin...
    For $1 I’m going with Faith Evans also ;)
