Looks like Gwen is up to no good again with Pharrell. “Wind It Up” is supposedly the first single from Gwen’s second solo installment. The song was performed live during her Harajuku World Tour and was featured in Gwen’s LAMB fashion shows. A low quality snippet has been floating around the internet for a while, but finally, the Neptunes-produced “Wind It Up” is here in high quality. This is more the speed I figured Gwen would be going for in the next album. We’ll see.

I like Gwen, but this song sucks. She needs to come back strong cause fergie has been swagger jacking her style. She don’t need to bring this song out . If this was left on the cutting room floor for lamb, then it should stay there. Come back stronger gwen and show fergie how it’s done.
Gwen cant dance b/c it’s hard for her to learn the dance steps, she is dislexic (sp?), that’s why you never see her do dance routines….when she’s on stage she does her own little thing…
Oh and yes this is about Gwen, but ppl started comparing Gwen’s music to R&B music like Beyonce etc….Gwen’s not trying to do R&B…it’s not her style, nor it’s in her range of vocals…

Actually this song was written and heard in Gwen’s Harajuku Lovers back in 2005,that’s waaaaaay before Fergie came out with her London Bridge,so for those who are saying Gwen copied Fergie hate to brake it down for you,anyways this is just a recycled crappy song from her L.A.M.B. album so it’s not a surprise,however it’s rumored she did a track with Akon…hmmm I hope it’s good
I can’t believe I just put myself through listening to that entire song. That was horrible. I loved her LAMB album, but this is just crap. I’ve farted better melodies than what’s on this song. The yodeling makes me want to slit my wrists. It’s a bland song, the beats aren’t that great either. Her sophomore album is going to be a complete flop if the other songs sound anything like this pile of steaming feces.

Gwen has proved in the past that she can sing, if you’ve ever seen her in concert, she does an amazing job, (songs like “dont speak” “simple kind of life” “what you waiting for?”). I dont get why some people feel that every song an artist makes has to display vocal strength.
Some of you are sayin that Gwen’s vocals suck in this track but then say that Fergalicious is way better, but Fergie doesnt show any strong vocals in that song either. A song can still be great even if it doesnt display a strong vocal talent. The style that Gwen is portraying is kind of monotone, and robotic, kind of like a “wind up” toy, which she did an awesome job with. She doesnt have to SING every song. And why is she even being compared to Beyonce? Beyonce is more like Letoya Luckett or Mariah Carey category in the style of music she does.

Just cause it is different makes it easy to bash on, but with time, it can definately grow on you.
I agree, that it is not a strong track to come out with, but i still think it’s a cool track.
And for those of you saying that Fergie has the top spot are so wrong…
Her album didnt even debut in the Top 3, and her album sales have been very weak. Her songs have peaked to somwhere around #17 on the charts. And her album is not all that great. Being rated 2 out of 5 stars by most magazines and other critics.
