Jay Z made a big mistake. The mistake was to bring out these two women at the same time. Once he did that he created a situation that was doomed from the start because one would be more popular and get attention more than the other, which would cause friction between the artists and their label and management.

Another thing I hate is Jay trying to make Rihanna a Beyonce clone. The outfits, clothes and booty shaking are just to similar to excape comparison.

People can sit there and tell me he did not do some behind the scene stuff to get his video played that many times on all these stations. I was about sick of the video at lest two days later. 1. Maybe they already have to many artist and it is not in the budget to pay you to be there.

2. Maybe they already have someone on their label that fits your description.

3. Maybe they are not feelin you at that time and they just don’t want to be bothered with you. You are an investment and they are gonna make sure you can make there money back and then some.

4. I think record labels like to have a little bit of everything on their label. They prolly don’t want 5 Ciaras ( meaning all the chicks doing the same thing and sing the same kinda songs ) I am sure they want a little of everything. So who is Ciara’s competition? They may want some chick that can get with her and she is gonna have to bring when it comes to dancing. Who is T error’s competition? There are many chicks in the game that fit her image she is easily replaceable. I agree 100% with #72. Teairra was just completely boring and unoriginal. She was basicallhy a watered down version of Beyonce and/or Ashanti. Other singers may not be the most talented but at least, for example, Cassie had a different look, and a song (Me & U) with a different sound that we weren’t used to. Same with Rihanna and Ciara. Teairra’s shit was just WEAK, just like Christina Milian’s was. Blaming it on the label doesn’t change that. If you wanna make it in this game you gotta come harder than that, end of story.
