I saw this on Comedy Central last night. It’s good to see an all black cast. The movie actually looks like it’s going to be good too.

Watching the trailer I have hopes that beyonce has improved her acting skills. She can be even bigger than she is now if she wasn’t so nervous as an actress… I don’t know if she has been nervous in her past movies, but it looks as if she was trying to be the character instead of actually becoming the characters she has played. I don’t know if its possible for her to be an even bigger star but if she acted her ass off and let go of her nerves then I think I’ll watch her movies. Jame and eddie together… good gracious this should be entertaining.
I hope the girl form american Idol can act too cause DREAMGIRLS seems like a good story I just hope not ONE person messes it up.

Even though nothing will ever live up to the original Broadway play, I am definitely looking forward to this movie. I don’t think Bey has the voice that can accurately portray the girl stars of the time period they are focusing on, but I do think that the movie will be good in his own right.
I am so excited to see this movie. I can’t wait til December Cause I’m running to the movies. I was a fan of the original movie.

I love black movies that are from this time period, the clothes,hairstyles, dance routines, the hardships, the whole feel of it lets you imagine what it was like then.
Certain to generate some good conversation with the family, especially my mom and grandmom, they like to reminisce about similar clothes they had, how they would make their own outfits just like the singers, and practice their dance moves.
Christmas is the perfect time for this movie, didn’t notice the rating, but hopefully it’s something the whole family can go see together. Can’t wait!
rewatched it again and got chills, i heard about this play and “And I’m Telling You”, very young and always wanted to see it, now i can, I AM SOO WAITING AND SOO HAPPY!!
I’m glad to see BLACK movies of this caliber. Its a very rare thing in Hollywood. I’ll be damned if I’m going to the movies on Christmas Day, but I think I will be going to check it out.

A new Beyonce song, “Listen,” leads the soundtrack to the film “Dreamgirls,” due Dec. 5 via Music World, 16 days before the film opens in wide U.S. theatrical release. The cut, which Beyonce co-wrote, is due to arrive this week at U.S. radio outlets; its video will premiere the week of Nov. 13. Although the full track list has yet to be announced, another song from the album, “One Night Only” has been making the rounds as a dance mix. “Dreamgirls” will also be available in a two-disc edition with extra music from the movie. “Dreamgirls” is loosely based on the rise and fall of the Supremes and stars Beyonce as a member of an up-and-coming vocal trio. Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy and Danny Glover also appear. Beyonce will perform Nov. 21 at the American Music Awards, although it is unknown if she will play a track from her new album, “B-Day,” or a song from “Dreamgirls.” The cast of the film is expected to visit TRL in early December

Beyonce can not act, and I’m sure she willhave a mediocre performance in this movie. If she wants to be the next Halle Berry, she has to take roles that are “outside the box”. She keeps taking stuff that are so predictable and fit her existing image.

I love movies like this. Sparkle, The Temptations, an American Dream, the Five Heartbeats. LOVE LOVE LOVE EM!! I cannot wait to see this. The cast looks good and I know the music is going to be off the chain. Im a girly girl so I’m looking forward to the fashions! Beyonce and Jamie are my faves and I am so excited to see Jennifer Hudson get her shine on. She is super talented! The movie looks really good. I havent seen any trailers lately that look that good b/c all the movies coming out lately are lack luster at best. Countdown to Christmas!!!

Listen up meatball, i mean meatloaf, before seeing the trailer, i was really anticipating this movie, but no more. In just these few scenes, you could Bey needs to continue her acting lessons, and that Jennifer can sing (but i already knew this girl could blow) and it just don’t seem exciting or better yet, the trailer’s not living up to what i expected of this movie. Maybe cause Bey hyped the hell out of it, talking about it every which way i turned. Maybe i’ll go see it once people start talking and there’s a buzz about the movie…but as it stands, HELL TO SOMEBODY’S NAW, they aint gettin my $10.00. I’m tired of seeing crappy movies, i was so mad this past weekend cause i just went to see a crappy movie cause i was bored – dammit i wanted my $9.50 back!

I like the trailer. I am excited to see everyone’s performances. I think some of you are too quick to judge Beyonce. She has admitted that acting isn’t her strongest talent and she is working on developing that. So you may be surprised at what you see. So don’t judge before you’ve actually seen the movie. I hope that Jennifer Hudson really blows up. She deserved to win American Idol, so maybe this is her chance to shine. Anyway, I look forward to seeing this movie Christmas Day.
